Things that annoy me (2 Viewers)

That game last night was an embarrassment. The Lakers are so bad it is hard to watch. They are terrible on defense. They don't hustle. They don't seem to care about winning. No pride. LeBron was correct when he recently said this is not a championship team. Luka is playing lights out but no one guy can win a championship. The supporting cast on the Lakers are awful. LeBron only plays about half the games and has almost no impact even when he puts up decent numbers. I had hoped Redick would instill some pride in these guys but it's not happening. At best, they are a bubble playoff team that will get rolled in the first round.
Reaves is good though is he not? They've got a couple of other long bodies I've never heard of who played ok, how much can you expect from LeBron at this point?

Marcus Smart is terrible, a complete hack, so glad the Celtics dumped him when they did.

Reaves stunk last night...averages over 25 points per game...only 15 last night...
Lakers totally out hustled all night...
Pritchard was an assassin...he has several 40+ games in his career...
there were several suspect calls...but not enough to stop that beat down...

Reaves has his moments but can't play D to save his life. Everyone was terrible last night. They traded for some guy who only shoots three-point shots but he almost never takes one. It is a trainwreck. And they almost never are healthy enough to have Luka, LeBron, and Reaves all playing.

I'm with you about the data centers. They are a good investment despite the energy cost.
I think he's just desperately trying to balance the budget and keep prices down. That's why people vote for billionaires. They must know what they're doing...
And are the Bears migrating east? Ugh...
Best Wishes

I believe it will take a miracle to save the Bears, it sounds like Indiana is a done deal, BUT you never know til it actually happens.

A four letter word, SNOW:eek: I've had enough. Can't remember a storm this big and I'm 70.

Agreed; I'm the first guy to mock the people who stampede to the grocery store and wipe out the eggs, milk, bread and toilet paper as my attitude is always "The roads will be clear the next day, why the panic"...........

Ok then.

We're in the "jackpot area" for this storm, 30 plus inches of snow expected, I live in a townhouse condo, as I look out the window of my foyer (thank God for the foyer I share with my next door neighbor), I literally cannot see the cars in the lots, there is snow piled 5 feet high around my storm door and all others I can see, how are we supposed to get out of here, they emailed/sent out a text that they would not be clearing the lots until tomorrow.........great, but again, how are we supposed to get out? It's going to be a mess here for two or three (or more) days.

This will be the last time I laugh off a storm, this one is historically bad and also annoyingly so.

We had a relatively minor snowfall in the 3-5 inch range. Nevertheless, the drivers managed numerous crashes including a tractor trailer full of tuna that overturned on the interstate forcing it to close for hours. You have to wonder with all the advanced notice who still chooses to drive into those conditions with predictable results. Many people don't even slow down. Several fatalities.

The area of MA we live in usually has low snowfall totals, it's called the South Coast..............not the past two years, we get hammered every storm, now this one, 30 plus inches.................I don't care if it's 2026, that much snow is a project to remove/clear.

Might be time to move south, don't feel like dealing with this crap again next winter, no thanks.

Yes, I'm done as well. Approaching retirement age and sick of the snow and cold. Everyone from the north seems to go to Florida but I never liked it. California is too expensive and weird. Texas is too hot. Mississippi and Alabama are Mississippi and Alabama. That narrows things down.

Hard no to all those places for me as well, we'll figure something out, it's not my bag anymore dealing with this crap, I've got a mountain of orders that have piled up since Saturday, no PO today or tomorrow for me, I'll have a SUV full of boxes by the time the PO is back and up and running again.

Usually we don't get too much snow here in South Jersey but we have gotten hammered the last 2 storms and a nice time to find out my four wheel drive isn't working.😰

I live in Galveston...it does get hot for 1 to 1 1/2 months...in the 90's...rarely going over 100...the farther north you live in Texas...it does get hotter...but of course we do have air conditioning... ;)... hasn't snowed at my house 3 times in the last 25 years...and that was just a dusting...we can have hurricanes in Galveston...but I live 4 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico...the last 2 years....no hurricane systems in the Gulf of Mexico...thank God...and you don't have to live on the Gulf...again...I live 4 blocks from the Gulf of Mexico and have had only 1 settlement for hurricane damage...the cost of living is cheap...utilities...housing...dining out no comparison to California of Colorado...etc...I love it here...you could do worse...Dallas/San Antonio are especially nice...minimal snow...but hotter...

Agree. And here is the best irony - the air conditioning is cheaper to run in Texas than in Maryland!!!!!!!!!!! That is the kicker for me. We have narrowed it down to Texas or Florida and it is going to come down to my better half. She really likes Florida beaches. We will keep the shore house in Maryland and live there 3-4 months (summer) and then all other time in either Texas or Florida. Makes the most sense and best bang for the buck for us. No State income taxes, Property taxes will be lower in the long run and sales taxes are a wash. What I will not miss is all the BS fees that are taxes in disguise along with the tremendously high costs. NOW, I will still put up with them for a time if we keep the MD shore house, but only part time and NO income tax which is over 10% effectively.

Sounds good, but I’m sure you know Florida gets it’s fair share a hurricane…and then some

In Texas apparently we have “enjoyed” our last day in the 70’s until November.

If we are lucky it will be in the 80’s for a couple of weeks and by late March it will reach the 90’s.

Once April arrives the 90’s will give way to humidity and “feels like” temperatures over 100.

And if you can still justify the weather based on the cheap cost of living, June and July will be here with constant 100’s starting at 11am on a daily basis.

Sorry, I also forgot to mention the mosquitos.

Jason....in March...what part of Texas are you living in?

March in Texas is a transitional month characterized by rapidly warming temperatures, with daily highs often starting in the mid-60s°F and rising to the upper 70s°F by the end of the month. While it is generally pleasant, the weather is highly unpredictable, with the potential for both warm spring-like days and sudden, chilly, or stormy weather.
Regional Temperature Averages for March
  • North Texas/Dallas: Highs typically range from 66°F to 73°F, with lows between 46°F and 54°F.
  • Central Texas/Austin: Highs generally increase from 70°F to 76°F, with lows in the upper 40s to mid-50s°F.
  • Houston/Coastal Area: Highs in the low-to-mid 70s (approx. 71°F–76°F), with milder lows in the 50s°F.
  • West Texas/Midland: Cooler with lower, with high temperatures averaging in the mid-to-upper 60s.
  • South Texas/McAllen: Warmer, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s (79°F–84°F).
