Things that annoy me (2 Viewers)

It's been noticed here and everywhere else in the West, but not apparently by the msm that those new to the parish, commit far more crimes of certain types and where attacks with pointy things happen, those from certain far away places top the charts time after time.
Sure all these things aren't new, they all happened before, but why import more of it, in a more concentrated form, from places where it isn't anything out of the cultural norms.

Yes, everyone gets a little passionate, but some 'name calling' is small potatotoes.

I would venture to say that all sides including one particular person who liked your original post here is guilty of what you are stating, so I would say, look in the mirror as I would say to myself or anyone. The problem I have here is that there are particular members of this forum who think that because someone is a Republican or Republican lean, they are "extreme" or if they support Israel, they are "extreme" and that is absolutely complete and utter BS. I don't in any way think every Democrat is extreme, in fact, I know more Democrats than I can count that are extremely conservative in nature on a lot of topics. Again, point being, there is way too many broad strokes being applied here and everywhere.

Hate speech - I look back at the threads on Israel. I really have become convinced that people do not truly understand what Antisemitism is. And I am not saying it is on purpose because I don't truly believe people who posted are Anti Semites. What I think is that people and I blame the narrative put forward in the press for a lot of this is the truly misunderstanding or forgotten history of the State of Israel. There is a valid reason they are on high alert 24 7 365. Since their existence, there has been no time of peace.

I think some of your statements above are a broad brush against a number of people rather than the topic and person you are in disagreement with. Last time I checked, this is truly a toy soldier chat forum, I don't think or know anyone on here who is running for office or promoting an agenda. I also don't think there is a band of cronies on here either. What I do think is there are a number of gas lighters on here on certain subjects.

If you want to know how screwed up logic has become, all you have to do is look at the situation in Iran. Fact - a brutal regime has been there for going on 46 years. Fact - they have killed/murdered/attacked not only their own people but a number of Countries around them for the same 46 years (Not just Israel). Fact - they are being assisted by a very bad actor - Putin. Fact - their goal is to conquer and repress (Same goal of the original Persian Empire). Fact - People's hatred for Trump and Israel is why there is any controversy here. Opinion - Hard to understand why the entire World is not embracing the removal of one of the worst regimes ever in history (and that is saying a lot if you think about History and mankind) Opinion - they are getting exactly what they deserve, and I believe the entire regime should be taken out.

People in the US who are opposed to this are for one reason and one reason only; they hate Trump, it's getting repetitive at this point, but nothing the guy does will fly with certain people, their hatred for Trump is what drives their bus. Anyone who objects to this removal of this regime needs a check up from the neck up.

I agree that many are opposed for that reason but there are legitimate reasons to be concerned. As we've seen in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Vietnam, these conflicts can drag on for years, cost billions, and accomplish nothing except to get a lot of people killed. Hopefully the Trump folks have learned from those lessons but there is already talk of boots on the ground. There is also the very real possibility that Trump will end this prematurely due to political pressures from high gas prices and stock market declines. He will declare victory but nothing will have been accomplished. And why doesn't he shame the oil companies into capping gas prices for the next 30 days? He has bent over backwards for them to allow them to make billions and they are sticking to everyone in a time of crisis.

Tom,

I appreciate your pov, but of course we all look at the world differently. Since my retirement in January I have been checking out other hobbies as I have enough toy soldiers in my collection and have decided to leave my displays as is.

I have recently gone full-on into renovating my house and consequently I find I have less time to spare for other 'interests', including this forum.

And if there's one thing I have learned over my many years on this forum, it is very difficult to change someone else's opinion, no matter how much you debate with them.
Suffice to say, good luck for the future chaps :)

The Big Arch Burger from McDonalds, the non stop hype of this thing is nuts.

And it looks disgusting; how much sodium and fat is in that thing, heart attack in a cardboard box, not to mention it's 12.00.

Fast food was mainly for families with little kids, used to be a cheap way to grab a meal, my Mom when I was a kid used to take us there once a month, me and my sister thought it was the greatest thing ever, but the prices now are insane, unaffordable for people who are struggling financially in this country.

Fast food; haven't eaten at a fast food restaurant in over two years, have no plans to do so anytime soon.

we all do for sure look at things in our own way, which is not a bad thing. The key is to be able to discuss them. Communication is probably the most important part.

All of that said, renovating a house is certainly a huge project in its own, but I find that endeavor very rewarding, challenging, frustrating, but when done, very satisfying. I only did a basement a good bit ago. unfortunately, my hobby outgrew it!

I am not a fast food guy either, but I do enjoy a good Whataburger during my Texas Travels!

BTW the Big Arch is only 1020 calories, I thought it would be more!!!!!!!!!!! (Actually looked that up).

This trip I actually tried the Spicy Chicken - not bad! I do like the #2. Do you know healthwise and I kid you not, you are better with the full regular coke and its real sugar. I did the Zero last night too, I had to draw the line also!

Tom...I believe you...and it's not really the calories on any soda for me...I'm a type 2 diabetic...the diet doesn't raise my glucose...and my endocrinologist tells me not to drink either...says they are both bad citing the "added sugars" in the diet sodas...maybe I drink 2-3 sodas a month...I'm a coffee guy...

but he is also a vegan and every time I go see him...he always pushes his plant diet on me...telling me plants have all the protein a human needs...sadly...they don't taste like charred meat...and I don't even want to try turkey bacon or synthetic plant based meats...

I almost left him over his pushing his personal diet on me...but after I sparred with him one day about it's my choice what I'm going to eat....he quit trying to shove that vegan diet lifestyle on me...we get along fine now...

I do like vegetables and I love salads with beef or chicken...Romaine lettuce or Arugula...add some avocado slices...sliced olives...cherry tomatoes...sliced raw mushrooms...maybe a boiled egg...and a tasty salad dressing...gotta have some croutons and garlic bread...lol...that's a good meal to me...

I don't feel satisfied unless I get some meat product in my meal...I love pizza...but don't feel sated with a vegetarian one...just the 1-2 ounces of pepperoni chips on a pizza satisfies my psychological craving...but I'm basically a carnivore at heart...
