    Dunkens Molds

I'll have to order some of his molds, I'm trying have a variety of figures that I produce. I also had the idea of creating some of my own figures by converting other figures for the master. But the creation of a new mold looks a little tricky. I guess I'd have to give it a try and see what happens.

    Lil Army Molds

I noticed that, perhaps you could trim the mold. Though when I saw it, i figured that it was something that could also be worked out in the painting process.

Opinions on pricing of painted figures

I know, I do conversions too. At one point I used to say; "I would never cut up a figure"! Now I can't look at a plastic figure without seeing what it could be! As I'm sure you have already figured out, I'm a collector and wanna-be dealer. Though I'm only using the dealer part to fund the hobby...

Opinions on pricing of painted figures

I wanted to solicit some input from the board members here. I have many hand painted figures in both plastic and metal. A majority of the figures that I have, were relatively inexpensive for me to obtain, as I mold many of the metal ones myself, and I find inexpensive plastic figures to...

Do You Collect Matte or Gloss and Age of Collectors

The trend is kind of obvious, there are more collectors of matte finished figures, because there has been a movement towards more realistic displays and dioramas. Everyone wants to have museum quality in their collection. I have both myself, but I paint in matte, and do very few traditional type...

I recently acquired a metal mold for a small pine tree.It is basically two dimentonal on a stand. It stands about 3" tall by 2 1/2" wide. It would work great for 45mm figures, and would be a small tree (sapling) for 54mm figures. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance. I'm going to be...

    Help and Advice Needed

Yes they are correct, it is going to take some time. From what your saying, it does not sound like there anything really that old. Many collectors cherish the early figure like Gray Iron, Barclays etc etc. Early plastics collectors most certainly cherish Marx products. But no matter what you...

    Metal Molds

OK, I'll have to work with it. Of course rubber molds are far superior. I bought some metal ones to increase the variety of figures that I can produce. But they are tough to use sometimes. By the way, I was surprised to hear that the ceramic cup exploded. I do some historic reenacting and I know...
