The Walking Dead - partial Zombie horde

I saw those too Beau, and they look pretty cool..... I was tempted to get some to bolster my new mini-horde....but then I realized, oh no, not another genre of toy soldiers to collect!!?!??! Hahahaa...I was already expanding the collection in my own mind. I probably will stop with this 1...

The Walking Dead - partial Zombie horde

Thanks for the heads up on gentle giant's site Scott! That's a great deal for those considering how bad everyone else is trying to rip you off for them! They had those new blood spattered poses of zombies at Orlando as well...but as a painter, clearly I had no need for those.

The Walking Dead - partial Zombie horde

Thanks for the comments gents! You know I had the same idea banging around while I was painting these guys...thinking how gruesome you could make a battle scene or post battle scene. Have at it guys, I would love to see some conversion work by some of you! There are 7 poses overall in the set...

    VietNam in Plastic

ahhh....Just checked TSSD's website again to verify...before it just said stay tuned for Vietnam...now it identifies the fact that these are being produced by a fellow manufacturer and TSSD will be 1 of 3 retailers to sell them. Must be Marxmans.

The Walking Dead - partial Zombie horde

Picked these up a couple weeks ago and couldn't resist the urge to paint them up. Here are the first 4:

    VietNam in Plastic

Is this what Nick Versteeg is talking about on the TSSD website? Initially I thought perhaps TSSD was going to do these...but maybe he was just referring to Marxman.

    Rebel Calvaryman

Denver, I use mainly size '0' paint brushes, spotters and liner varieties...I have a few Vallejo brushes that I got at hobby shops and I also always buy some at craft stores like Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc...sable brushes are the best in my opinion but they cost more. Hard to judge how long...

    Rebel Calvaryman

Just finished off my latest figure in my recent flurry of painting - TSSD rebel calvary trooper. A lot of fun to paint, great detail - it's all there you just have to get the paint on these guys and they come to life!!

    Romans!!

Finished off the Centurion, he turned out pretty nice! Here's the 2 barbs and the 2 Romans all together, and some mixed shots with a few Conte Romans for comparison.

    Romans!!

Absolutely Fish - that's because a human didn't sculpt them - a computer did! The barbarians are much better as they were sculpted by a human - it makes a huge difference.

    Massive Unpainted Napoleonic Battle

Well done Cole!! OldAllAmerican is right! It's a flashback to the old days! I had (still have) a huge collection of 1/72's of various periods that I would setup in giant engagements on the floor. It took hours it seemed to set everything up, but only about 1 or so to knock them all down in...

    Romans!!

I cranked out a Roman over the last couple days, and here he is. The last one is the 'centurion' figure I will paint next. I wish Nick would have taken his time on releasing the add on sets and done a proper centurion, aquilifer, and archer. But I'll take them nonetheless. I thought the...

    Only 2 Painted Barbs

Thanks guys for the comments! When I was doing research on these guys and what they wore (germanic barbarians) there isn't alot of information out there. I read over Tacitus's description of them from long ago, and found a smattering of academic endeavors looking into their garb. It seems...

    Only 2 Painted Barbs

Been a while since I have painted anything up, so here they are! Perhaps of the Cherusci peoples from the famous battle of the Teutoburg forest. I hope to paint the others up and will put them here when complete!

    Engineer Bassevitch set 6 & 7

I wish Engineer Bassevitch would defect/immigrate/move to the west...I mean I am sure Russia is great and all, this would be for my own selfish reasons:rolleyes:. Here's a question, does the Engineer have less expensive production costs for making plastic figures? This assumes of course he...

    King and Country Plastic Alamo

I assume you probably have seen or possibly own the Expeditionary Force ancient Greeks Old Dragon? I guess you would have to paint these, but you could commission a painter to do so. Anyways just wondered what your thoughts were regarding their poses, historical quality, etc...I have 2 sets of...

    King and Country Plastic Alamo

Here's a question about the plastic Shermans or any tank K&C might make: Why would anybody purchase a 70$ non articulating tracked tank made from plastic? Sure it's painted very detailed and might come with a metal tank driver, but I'll assume that this plastic tank is hollow on the inside...
