I was really surprised by that as well. The posing on this set wasn't as impressive as I had hoped it would be. The horse of the flagbearer looks to be straining awkwardly to the side, kinda in full stride, but the pose looks like something you'd see if the horse was at a standstill or rearing.

Love the concept, although Custer seems a bit awkwardly posed, like someone surprised him. Great dynamic action on some of the other pieces including the flagbearer.

Quick question from a collecting newbie. Most of the Britains I see look 1/32 in scale, but I saw some of the new Napoleonic French infantry on display and they looked "beefier" - more in line with a 1/30 scale, like something that would be compatible with King & Country. Is Britains scale...

That's outstanding! I was definitely not expecting to see that many figures when I opened the thread. I started doing the mental math and then just stopped completely and simply enjoyed the photos and the display. Superb!

They don't look remotely close in size. I would not have expected that size difference based on their website photos and description.

I like the winter version the best.

Are the Lancers that are attacking the Highlanders a King & Country line as well?

I've done a fair number of searches and couldn't find any, so I too would be interested if anyone knows of any. E-bay is too pricey for my tastes even though they are some truly fine looking miniatures. E-bay currently has a set of all 8 with a minimum bid of $1600!

They definitely look good together. I wouldn't know that they were from different manufacturers if you didn't say so.

If anyone else has a Del Prado favorite in terms of quality, let me know. I'm open to any nationality. By the way, I just received NA127 - Coldstream Guard's Officer with King's Colours - I'm very impressed!
