Plastic collectors are looked on as slightly embarrising and sad by metal collctors in the main.
Plastic figures are seen as 'kids stuff' by the New Metal brigade and there is a lot of prediduce to be found.
I know. I had the set of mounted Swiss marines that they made and I was most disapointed by the somberos instead of the steel kepis and I don't think day glo magenta was the correct colour to make them in.
I'll try and put up some pictures.
Thank you for your comments.
The Mongols are JECSAN (Spain) reissues.
The Zulus are Charbens, Res Plastics and conversions.
The ECW figures are metal figures by Maros.
All you can do is move the arms and heads - unlike Airfix you cannot swap over leg positions or bodies. Also having all the straps, ammo pouches, canteens, etc severvely limits just what you can actually achive with them
I just purchased a box of the new Vixtrix Napoleonic British, not cheap I have to add.
I'm very disapointed. They are almost 62mm - not 54mm. Very stiff chunky blokes. I was hoping to be able to use them with my Airfix Collectors series kits and multi pose - but they are far too big.

At the last PLASTIC WARRIOR show in London I asked one of the PW editors about Britains plastics. He told me he went to the British Toy and Hobby Trade Show at the Excel Centre where WBritains had a stand.
He mentioned about the plastic...
I am fully sick and tired of plastic collectors being treated either as as second class or as an embrassing poor relative.
Why is this?
I have my own opinions but would like to hear others first.

The point that I was trying to make is that the current owners of Britains have bought into the nonsense that the 'Blazers and slacks' brigade of metal collectors spout.
