Hi Guys,
I often get asked that question myself or… “What is your favourite?”Well, it’s a wee bit like being asked ,”Who is your favourite child?” of course I love all of ‘em… or I (and K&C) would not have produced them. But here goes in a kind of fashion… and in no particular order…

A. “Fields of Battle”
I love the early-war period of 1940 and the Fall of France. To my knowledge no other company has ever ventured into that area. Also because Britain had its back to the wall and I think we showed our true national character. I believe our British and French figures are some of the finest we’ve ever produced.

B. “Battle of the Bulge”
Without a doubt the best GI’s we’ve ever designed and manufactured. Again K&C led the way with figures and fighting vehicles to back them up.

C. “North Africa”
Monty and the 8th Army… Rommel and his Afrika Korps… Again… others have followed and also done some fine work. But K&C will still be fighting the Desert War long after the others have moved elsewhere.
We’re not finished with this “Theatre of War”… not by a long chalk!

D. “ARNHEM ‘44”
The series back in 1995 that started the whole ball rolling… It’s often forgotten that this directly led to the WW2 “explosion” we know today and the 1:30 scale, realistic matt-style painting. Before these little British Paras came along the vast majority of toy soldiers were in gloss and there were virtually no fighting vehicles!!!

E. RAF and Luftwaffe
Way back in 1990 K&C produced a little four-man set of RAF and Luftwaffe pilots (in gloss) and some wooden hand-carved, hand-painted aircraft… From then till now we’ve come a long way and I hope there’s still an even longer way forward. With a great team of talented folk here in Hong Kong and in China, the Philippines and Thailand we’ll expand our progress.

I’d also like to thank the hundreds (perhaps thousands) of K&C collectors around the world who have come with us on this journey and continue to assist and support us in all our efforts.
With all best wishes… happy collecting!

Andy C.

Glad you like "Fields of battle" maybe some more GREY Germans to come...................{sm4}

Like they say.......gray is good.

Field grey is what we want , not only for the invasion of France but for the whole duration of WWII (ALSO FOR THE BoB, contrary to what many folks, think field grey was the predominant colour for the German forces during this battle together with autumn camouflage colours and just a little bit of white !!!!)
guy:)

Thanks for posting Andy. Must say that after the early Grey German releases and British figures the FOB range has exploded into life again with the recent Bomb disposal sets and the shot down ME109 and accompanying figures. As for all the other ranges the quality speaks for itself, the US Bulge figures are surely some of the very best K&C produce and don't get me started on the RAF!^&grin{bravo}}

Cheers

Rob

All ranges Andy mentioned are excellent {bravo}}, but my first pic is the Bulge. As is the case with North Africa that he pointed out, I belive much more can be done and is yet to come to the Ardennes front, and as Guy pointed out, the Germans can come in grey winter clothing...

I like KC WW2 plane range the best now and looking forward to the Fw 190 Dora^&cool

Grey is essential! Every great ww2 movie grey is the prefered color. It also helps collectors financially because grey can be used in all theaters and that makes diorama making easier and not limited to certain fronts.

I would agree with Andy that some of those are the best series they've done, particularly Arnhem 44 and the North African War.

I think in terms of german releases although, not a series in its own right the Grossdeutschland figures depicting early war germans were the best released under the banner of WSS. the ones I mean are WSS38, 39,40, 41, 42 and, the raft with troops slips my mind

yessss

The FOB range was one of my favourite the recent UXB sets,downed Me109, and Fall of Singapore sets are excellent. I do hope to see more Fall of France figures though.^&grin

Was into collecting K&C 2000-2008 got into you're waffen ss and AK series. not all that into collecting AFVs and aeroplanes. Would have to say you're early fallschirmjager series in their camo, issued around 2000-2002. I think some didn't have a date on the bottom. Also liked you're green devils. Tried selling
some of my K&C collection once, couldn't do it. Thanks

I love the Field of Battle figures..i'm trying to buy some of the retired ones on E-Bay and the price is affordable..My last figure was the French artillery officer FB034..great detail, a wonderful figure..(arrived in company of a countryman the Hachette Legionnaire from 1950 designed by K&C..great standard of sculpting and painting..not my last Hachette Legion purchase!)

Great pick up nice figures. I have been lucky with the FOB sets they never were to popular so most of them were available long after they were retired.

Battle of the Bulge....A Top Contender. ^&grin
