One game in and their season is officially in the toilet, which is one of the many reasons why I hate college football.................
 
Crap weekend for this fan. Terps stink, blown out by Cal. On top of that, FSU had 3000 chances to win agains Miami, yet couldn't get it done. Miami played an excellent game and deserves the win, FSU Seminoles need to think about this one as a lost opportunity that will continually bite them this whole season.

By the by, the officiating I thought was bad on both sides. Both defenses committed a lot of pass interference which wasn't called or if it was, at meaningless times. It was bad on both sides, so can't complain too much. I just can't see how the refs continually get this one wrong.

I am by no means a FSU fan but I remember growing up watching the terrific defenses that this school put on the field year in and year out. After watching the game tonight it looked like some of the local highschools could have ran through them.
 
Goodness that was some awful officiating. Atleast The Marching Chiefs' record is still spotless.
 
Watched Miami vs. FSU and thought it highly entertaining. Unfortunately it does not bode well for ACC football. The defenses must have stayed on the bus. After this last weekend, it is obvious the ACC won't be challenging the SEC for football supremacy. Come on B-ball! -- lancer

That is the truth and an understatement! Geez, defense cost either team this game, it was a shoot out. FSU couldn't buy a stop! I think a telling sign is the fact that Seminoles starting Defensive end is a 6ft 2 walkon from a local Juco school. Now, my hats off to the guy as he must have worked very hard to get the position. BUT, this is a telling sign of the weakness here, ie remember Peter Boulware, 6ft 4, 260 and fast as lightning playing that position and then countless people after him!!

Not exactly sure what has happened to Florida St. They still have some of the best looking girls at their games though. My USC Trojans travel into the 'Shoe next week for the GAME OF THE YEAR. Imagine taking a true freshman QB into Columbus for only his second start and still being favored to win. Should be an interesting game.

Looking forward to watching this game. The frosh QB situation and the weaknesses exposed by Navy should make for a good game. Not a do or die fan of either, so I can just sit back and enjoy.:D -- lancer
 
I can hear the victory song now.....Fight On SC!! Trojans will take down OSU at the horseshoe, sweatervest and all, under a relentless, pounding 1st half rushing attack peppered with a smattering of short and intermediate passes, many of which will come on "obvious running downs". Second half will feature some long SC ground gains due to supreme SC depth and even moreso a result of a stretched and tired OSU defense. Now to answer some of you OSU fans, I've seen and experienced Vince Young (painfully so), and Terrelle Pryor, well, you're no Vince Young. OSU may burn our D-line and young LB's early, but they will retain their discipline, and execute their assignments, maintaining gap control. Let the game begin! :)

Who in their right mind goes for a 30 yard pass down the field when you have the ball 2nd and 10, 2 minutes to go with the lead!!!!! Only CHARLIE WEIS!!!!!!! Are you kidding me, run the ball!!!!!! Thanks for tossing another season down the drain Charlie. Sorry, just venting!!!

Not a ND fan, so secretly laughing, however, I do feel for you. The guy is a jerk and sucks as a coach, I wish you luck in getting rid of him. IF you really want him finally gone, root for a terrible year (hard to do if it is your team!)

ugly win for the Noles tonight. It poured the whole darn game. Chiefs got drenched. Win is a win though.

Big win for USC in Columbus. Freshman QB takes them 90 yds in front of 100k Ohio St. fans for the winning TD. Quite a game.
 
What a GREAT game yesterday USC 18, OSU 15. A great start for what seems to again be a great season..... but imagine the possibilities for years to come!
