2011 Spring Collection Catalogue (1 Viewer)

This arrived this morning together with the latest "Standard".

The cover features the Nile River gunboat. A superb looking model, complete with RN crew, Egyptian gunners, Krupp gun and redcoated British infantry. It sells for a mere £900.00! The ACW gets a large range of 114th Pennsylvaian Zouaves. There are also additions to the Zulu War. Napoleonics get more Royal Scots Greys and Gordon Highlanders. Nothing for WWI or WWII (except see below).

However for me the highlight of the catalogue are the addition to the Elite Forces series as US Special Forces now join the range. A US Ranger Afghanistan 2002, a Green Beret 1966, a USN SEAL 2010, just emerging from the sea and a very nice looking British WWII Commando - wearing a cap comforter and armed with a Thomson SMG. All will go very nicely with my FOV vehicle collection.

I got my copy today as well. I really like that gunboat with all those figures. The camel riders are great as well.
The more I see of this series the more I'm tempted to branch out.
Some good Zulu additions as well.
The new Scots Greys look very nice as well. WB seem to be really going for this Waterloo mass cavalry charge which must mean some retreating French infantry are in the pipelline and possibly a French artillery train under attack.^&cool

The Modern releases are something I really would like though to be honest I've been out of Britains for some time, tell me are the figures still on the smaller side of the 60mm mfg.'s or would they be compatable?

Mail showed up. No Standard... maybe tomorrow. Does not sound like any ACW Confederate Cavalry. Oh well not expecting any until maybe December. Hope WB will come through with some. Conte does not acknowledge that cavalry existed in the ACW with any rollouts. First Legion is struggling since spring 2010 to get some dismounted Union cavalry to market. K&C's was too little and not that good and the rest are off in the dark on the ACW and cavalry. So my only hope is for Britains to come up with something on horseback or dismounted with grey jackets down the line...hopefully this year.Candidly a hard topic from a conflict, side and branch to collect.

The lads from across the pond are the first to receive their newly published Standards and Catalogs. It depends on their arrival in The US of A as to when you can expect them. If they've arrived they should be in the mail or shortly after their arrival. Hope they've arrived and shipped so no tears will be shed.{sm2}{sm2}{sm2}

On MKL's website is lists some new glossy Scots Dragoon Guards to accompany last years limited edition but there arnt any photos yet! So we will be getting some new glossies Sandor!!!
