Congrats, Louis. On to Cleveland. -- Al
Louis:
Congrats on the win.

Thanks Jason!:smile2: I just hope they win at least one more game before they are eliminated.
Louis:
I am really looking forward to the Cleveland/New York series. I think the Yankees are going to do better than expected.

Or not.
At least for game one.
Now they get the Cleveland ace in game two.
As far as the Red Sox, Sale got lit up, now they are in must win territory today.
Oh well, Patriots won last night, Bruins won last night, the beat in Boston goes on......................
Nats choked Game #1. The problem, as it has been for quite a while now, was no offense. Nats only had 2 hits in the 3-0 loss. The Nats offense went off-line when Harper was hurt and has never gotten it's mojo back. Averaged less than 4 runs per game since Harper went down. Better fix it or it will be another disappointment in the post-season. -- Al
Jason, the lack of fire has also been another concern of mine. The team has been laid back since clenching so early and I feared it might carry over. It's up to Dusty to wake them up. Even he can't make the bats work though, and the lack of hitting has been a problem for almost 2 months now. Since Harper got hurt on 8/12, the Nats went 27-21 to close the season, averaging about 4 runs per game. Harper simply hasn't had enough at bats since coming off the DL to get his timing/swing back yet. It's unfortunate timing but that's where things stand and it's up to the players to do their jobs. Strasburg did his but got no help. Hope they help Gonzalez today, or the Nats post-season problems will continue to be their legacy. -- AlAl:
For what ever reason the Nats did not seem to be playing with any sort of tenacity or urgency last night.
Hopefully they get it turned around later today.
-Jason
I feel much better now than I did 2 innings ago.:wink2: Glad to see them finally awake and especially glad to see Harper get a hold of one. It was his first Hr since being injured August 12. At least we now have a chance after looking DOA for 16 innings. -- AlIf Dusty is planning on winning any of these games against the Cubs, he needs his team to get more than 2 hits in a game. They got 2 hits in Game 1 and they have 2 hits through 7 innings today. An impressive offensive display. Of course, if the plan is to get swept, the Nats are on target. :rolleyes2: -- Al
