2018/19 NCAA B-ball season (4 Viewers)

Maryland squeaks by some college named after a horse race, a team that won a play in game...……...good Lord.

I've got Oklahoma, Kentucky, Michigan and Duke (once again Duke plays the march of the tomato cans in their bracket...…………) going to the final four.

Yeah, picking with my heart and not my head as my three favorite programs are Kentucky, Michigan and Oklahoma...…………..hey, I had Michigan winning it all last year and if it wasn't for some white dude named Vinnie Del Ballbag on Villanova, they had a shot,...……………….

UMd got lucky as Belmont screwed up their last shot chance when they turned the ball over. Turgeon can't coach. He has a very talented, but very young team. They could be a real threat next year, if Turgeon doesn't get in the way.:rolleyes2: I don't give UMd much of a chance against LSU. -- Al

Interesting stat of the day:

In 136 8 vs. 9 match-ups, the 8 seed has 68 wins and the 9 seed has 68 wins.

I had the best first day ever, going 13-3. Had Seton Hall not fizzed out at the end of the game, could have even been better.

Me too, 13-3 yesterday, Louisville, Marquette and Syracuse all lost...……..had Marquette moving on to the sweet 16 too, so that hurts.

I had none of my three losses, Yale, Marquette and Seton Hall, moving on. We'll see what today brings.

There should be some great games to watch this weekend. I think FSU vs. Murray State is going to be a good game.

Best...game...of...the...tourney, so far as Duke survives against UCF by a point, 77-76. UCF had the final shots but couldn't get them to fall. Heartbreak as Dawkins played a tremendous game for UCF, but Williamson played equally as well for Duke, both scoring 32 points. Great game. -- Al

UCF blew it on the 2 on 1 break, why hot dog it there, just pass the ball for a bunny lay up, game over...………...what a shame, UCF was the better team today.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Yep, that hot dog crap will kill you every time. A simple layup and UCF has the biggest upset of the tourney, but NOOOOO!, they have to go for the sky slam. Oh well. -- Al

Sweet 16 set with a bunch of great match-ups, Purdue/Tenn and Ky/Houston come to mind, just to start. Beyond the rankings, so many great teams still in it, hard to pick a favorite. Glad I don't bet. -- Al

On one side of my bracket, I was 8 for 8; on the other side, it's a tire fire, mainly thanks to me picking the Sooners to get to the final four, I was thinking Virginia is soft as...………. and there was bound to be an upset along the way, I assumed wrong.

Duke has just about no right to be moving on, but that's basketball for you...………...

Purdue shot lights out in their last game. If they keep that going they can't be beat, however in basketball it is tough to put up those kinds of numbers in back to back games let alone four in a row.

Unless you are Golden State. :)

Best UK player, PJ Washington, may not play. Ankle sprain in the SEC tournament. :redface2: It's for real, not gamesmanship. Chris

Purdue gets past the Vols in a game that exhibited the worst free throw shooting that I can ever remember seeing, by both teams. Purdue hit just 16 of 33 FT's, while the Vols hit 14 of 28. A disgraceful exhibition. I'd say Purdue has it all over a so far unimpressive Virginia team, but the FT problems could cost them...:rolleyes2: -- Al

UT almost pulled it out after being down 18 and going to OT. Exciting game. Chris

Seen some huge leads thrown away (or deficits overcome, depending on one's POV) so far in this tourney, more so than I can remember in previous tourneys. Make for some great games or disasters, again depending on the POV, but great games if you have no personal investment. -- Al

Auburn blows out UNC by 17. Good, rather play them than UNC if UK beats Houston. UK up by 11 at the half. :smile2: Chris

UK blows a 13 point lead but hangs on to beat Houston by 4. Auburn is next. BTW, Va Tech misses an open look at the basket to lose to duke. :redface2: Chris
