It was announced in 2015 at $375.00. If Britain’s maintains that price 5 years later then they deserve a ton of credit for keeping it affordable as prices of everything have increased dramatically in that time.

Same number of figures planned. Or to crew the gun will add-ons need to be purchased.

I agree, do you think they will honour the original price if people pre ordered?

How many gunners will man this gun ???
There should be 10 man to operate this gun, but no makers does that.
Even my Tamyia 1:35 scale kit only has 8 and a motor cyclist.

Great question.

At this point I think most of us will simply be happy to see it available for purchase.

Reason asked, I was in Magpies [Evesham], which is the UK's largest TS shop, there was a guy in there who had ordered in 2017 and paid a deposit, which opened the question on price, will the manufacturer or the dealer/shop be liable for the price. The guy said he did not mind and if it was a bit more then so be it but if it is a lot more then he would have to think. The dealer/shop is a great guy and he will be flexible.

He said it felt that long ago he thinks he paid the deposit in Guineas.......... or in the US they used a couple of Double Eagle's. Had to look what that currency was.

I understand, the long delays in the release certainly present any number of problems, price included.

I remember reading somewhere the gun had a crew of 16? But i think that is ideal circumstances and with many things actuality was quite different.
Famous 88mm gun crew that W Britains could produce,
David Callum,
Robert Beatty,
Griffin

On the WB website it states that all list prices are subject to change without notice. I will bet that it also applies to the 88. Just my opinion not fact.

I am certainly not an expert on shipping times but if these were shipped on or about September 29, shouldn’t they have started arriving by now?

Ocean freight, the most inexpensive way to ship something, can take between 30 and 60 days. You also have to add time from point of departure (the factory) to the port of departure and from port of arrival to point of ultimate destination.

Timing for shipping is a bit of a 'finger in the wind' calculation, but one thing i will point out is that K & C, J Jenkins and T Gunn, who also manufacture in China, have released their September and October releases. There stock managed to get over OK.

I just believe nothing on the 88mm anymore.

That assumes they use the same form of shipping, which they may not.

Also I think Britains have a real issue with there uk distributor Bachman as they seem to get new stock into there Ohio head quarters and out to the US dealers , but to the uk and Europe it seems to be a real problem , new released product from September has not yet arrived in the uk , maybe a new distributor for 2021 might help

Like all of us I've wanted the WB 88 for so long, but at this point I don't think I will be buying one. I'm considering the Eagle Design 88. Doe anyone have one? It looks good in the photos.

I think you'll find that the delays over here are down to all products are first shipped to the US and then on the UK etc.

I have the winter 88mm and it is a great version, detailed and you have the ability to have it in transport as well as firing mode.

Thank you fort he info Walsingham. I think that's the way I will go then. It will be nice to have an 88 in my collection again after having let go of my Figarti and CS versions. There's just too much drama and uncertainty surrounding the WB one, and I think it would affect my enjoyment.

The UK and Continental Europe for W Britains is a backwater, Magpies at Evesham do their best for the UK, great shop, great service and nice guys, if you are passing on the M5 then worth a visit [check open times], nice town as well, loads of other shops etc for a wander, plus Magpies has some really interesting non TS stuff as well.

On distributor for UK/Europe, would anyone seriously look at it, considering the poor performance by the company in the last few years, could anyone run a business with no stock.............. if someone took Britains, if they delivered, they would also take Ken's other stuff, it would have been a win win, but it is simply not worth it.
