A Few Photos (1 Viewer)

FL's mounted pieces are fantastic. Great pics too I might add, preferable over FL's stock photos which I don't like very much.

I too feel that the mounted figures are some of FL's best sculpts and many of the horses are nothing short of astounding.

Like Joe however, I am not a fan of the stock photos.

With more and more of these high-end mounted figures being released I find I'm having to make difficult choices (I certainly can't afford them all and I like to roam among ranges) so a thread like this with clear good-quality photos is a godsend.

Thanks for taking the time to post them and I really hope you continue to do so.

Doug

You have a great collection. I also dabble in a lot of FL ranges, but of these I only have Henry and one of the same Agincourt foot soldiers. You made the French mounted pieces look irresistible!! Thanks for posting!

Superb collection! Yes, FL is tops for mounted pieces! Anxiously awaiting what's new for Agincourt in regards to French mounted knights as this is the series that I am primarily collecting from FL along with select Napoleonic and Samurai figures. It's been more than a year since the last batch of Agincourt figures being released. Hopefully, something is in the works and we shall see something soon! ^&grin

Superb collection. Very nice. Great choice of figures from an ever expanding FL offering. A real pleasure after all the WWII.

I really think that First Legion does a disservice to itself by not using high quality photos like you take here. Several times I have received sets that I was on the fence due to the way they are normally portrayed by FL. Then I take a chance and I am blown away by what I receive. This was especially true of the latest Crusaders, but more recently I was underwhelmed by the Caesarian Romans until reading the Marching with Caesar series. When I realized they made a figure intended to be Gaius Crastinus I decided to sample this line. I cannot believe how good they are although fairly simple compared to the Imperial Romans or Praetorian Guard.

I now have them near me when I read the Marching with Caesar books which really helps bring things to life.

Great shots, but those Prussian Cuirassiers in your photos might cause another expansion of my collecting profile and deflation of my discretionary income!

Nothing like a good book and fine miniatures!

A couple of these figures are on my wish list but I've been reluctant to pull the trigger so timely photos for me, thanks!

I see collection is growing fast!
Great figures thanks for posting.

If you could only get one, the Standard Bearer in next photo would be my choice.

I can only concur whole-heartedly with the above summary and wonder if there wil be a follow up series of stunning photos of the new FL release of Prussian 3rd Cuirassier Leib Regiment zu Pferde and General von Seydlitz!..these look like they are worthy of your same photographic skills..!!

Thanks.
Yes, there will be more photos of them and a group photo of all 9 figures and then a few Persians.
Prussian order shipping was delayed due to weather in Dallas.
