Hope You like it regards Harrie

Harrie, very, very nice, detailed and realistic Bulge dio you`re building there! As for Tigers I in the Ardennes campaign, I think Guy will certainly know better than none in this forum, but I had such doubts myself before placing a Tiger I in my Bulge dio, and here goes my modest (and I hope correct) intel after some research I`ve made some time ago: although there is some dispute, Schwere Panzer Kompanie "Hummel", attached to the 506 as its fourth company, had 8 Tiger I`s at the outset of the offensive. If true, they fought in the Bastogne region, close to the border with Luxembourg. I hope Guy might validate or rule this out (history or story..). ^&confuse
Harrie,
After I read and replied to this thread I got curious once more and got back into some books and I came up with another unit with Tiger I's in the Ardennes: Panzer Abteilung 301 Funklenk, attached to 9th Panzer Division, had, according to Danny S. Parker's "Battle of the Bulge: Hitler's Ardennes Offensive, 1944-1945", 27 Tiger I's, 20 operational. Hope this info is accurate and helpful.
