John made a great artillery crew set for Chippawa...both in poses and in bulk numbers...in these pictures...I have 14 foot figures (2 are different flag bearers) and 2 mounted figures...all these figures make a great crew to display...

Hi Mike,
Long time no speak. This is a great dio.
I never purchased any of the American artillery from this series but I did purchase all the British artillery and most of the British infantry for the Peninsular war.
You and I have been asking John to produce some more artillery crew for some time now without any success but we did manage to get the one driver guy looking after the horses^&grin.
Your diorama got me thinking about conversions.
I really like some of the American artillery poses. Especially the guy covering his ears.
In your opinion would it be a relatively easy job to convert the American artillery to British? I know the packs and shakos look different but that should be a quick file and paint job. The bit that I'm concerned about is the rope hanging down the side on some figures. Would you say these ropes could be removed? How many of the figures have these ropes? I'm also thinking about buying some the wounded American infantry and converting those. When you compare the price of these older sets to the new sets it's a great way of bulking out your army without too much cost.
John Jenkins is producing some superb Peninsular figures at the moment and I'm going to buy them all eventually but I think you'll agree we still need more artillery.
I've got a lot of vacant cannons waiting for their crew.
Cheers
Paul
