Here are my first photo offerings featuring items I acquired at the OTSN show in Chicago. These photos feature the Hudson & Allen 11" x 28" shelf diorama "At the Edge of the Forest" w/original backdrop painted by Ken Osen, WB #31023 CSA General A. P. Hill, WB #17922 General Robert E. Lee, WB #31023 General James Longstreet, and Old Northwest Toy Company #ACW-014 American Civil War Camp Accessory set which was introduced at the show on Friday. I call this series . . . . .

Thanks gentlemen; Titus, Andrea, and Scott - Glad you all liked them. I thought I would continue the series featuring another new acquisition from the OTSN show, Old Northwest Toy Company #ACW-007 Civil War Photographer.

A war correspondent for the Richmond Enquier captures the moment of Robert E. Lee and two of his Corps commanders, A. P. Hill and James Longstreet and their "burden of command". The reporter has noted that spirits are high in the Army of Northern Virginia and that a victory over the Federal Army is anticipated. The correspondent also noticed that General Ewell was missing from General Lee's staff meeting and that nobody knows where J. E. B. Stuart is.

This a terrific display. I feel that the figures look much better with the backdrop and other diorama materials than for themselves but also the backdrop and those materials are asking for these figures. I'd say that 2+2=5 in this case. Thanks for posting and enjoy, really nice stuff.

Wonderfull diorama, but I think Pickett is better than A.P. Hill. I suppose is more historical. I remember W.Britain has producted a Pickett figurine.

Hi ANV - WB #31047 General Pickett has not been released yet and his advertised pose is too animated IMHO for a nice staff meeting type scene. Also, Pickett was a subordinate of Longstreet's and in this series I wanted to just have Lee and his Corps commanders in a meeting. General Ewell was Lee's other Corps commander at Gettysburg and my intel from the ONTC show indicates that "Old Baldy" will be making his appearance sometime in the future. As an aside, the A. P. Hill figure is already sold out and will be retiring.

Mike...this is a great acquisition...I really think this is one of the best pieces Ken has done...I'm sure you're proud to own it and will get tons of great pictures with your collections...I would throw a few Crusaders on there for pictures before you sell them all...such a beautiful piece...
