With the anticipated arrival of the new WB ACW offerings, I was motivated this morning to spend a little time with my collection. In recognition of W. Britain's ongoing advancement of the ACW, here I have a column of Longstreet's First Corps Confederates advancing down a dusty Pennsylvania road . . . . . Most of the figures I have used here are WB . . . . First Legion and a few Conte figures are also represented.

Great scene Mike. Really like the details such as the slight rise in the road, fallen stones from the rock wall. Very nice collection. Chris

Nice way to spend an afternoon break from chores Mike once again very nicely done my friend{bravo}}

well done Mike lots of stores in those photos...well done again.....

Thanks for posting the pictures Mike, you did a great job of positioning the backdrops to give the scene length and proper depth, those backdrops really add to the quality of the shots.

I like the wide angled picture the best, all of them are very good........

Thank you every one; Kirk, Oliver, Joe, Steve, Scott, Rick, Chisum, Jeff, and George . . . .

Very realistc scene!!
Are all the marching soldiers Britains?

Most of the figures shown are WB. The figures in column closest to the camera are all Britains with a couple of Conte figures. The column behind this are mostly First Legion with a few Britains and Conte figures. All of the Conte figures were sculpted by Ken Osen. Many of the Britian figures I have used are conversions that Ken did for me and are thus "one-of-a-kind" figures.

Beautifully done Mike! If I didn't already know which figures were from which companies, I wouldn't be able to tell from your pics. You did such an excellent job of blending them together that I don't think a lot of people will even notice. They all go together really well.

Mike - love it! This scene brings back great memories....I can almost smell the apple fritters coming from the old Dutch restaurant that used to be next to Lee's HQ. If only Lee's boys had the chance to have a fritter that day they may have swept Cemetery Hill that night...what if...???

Anyway, great to catch up the other day, and this new World War I is indeed just the tip of the iceberg. But I think I speak for everyone here when I say we do not want you to lose focus on the ACW, you do such a wonderful job with it!

Be good,

Richard

It was very nice catching up with you also. Don't worry, my main focal point is the ACW. My interest in starting a WWI collection is due to my recent interst in my grandfather's service during this war. Thanks again for clearing up my question on the WB British Gun Emplacement . . . . I would have never figured out that that piece was a "gas alarm" . . .
