AJs Collection (1 Viewer)

Thanks - Joe would love to see your version - Zach I have sene yours and it is superb.
While we are on Saladin here is another version produced by Sineus for Aeroart as 5111.3 though the version I have was for not from Aeroart as the base has no marking other that what looks like an "ME" which i guess is the artist. I think Sineus sells their kits so would love to know who painted it as the paint job on this version stood out to me.

AJ, That's definitely the best version of the Sineus Saladin I have seen by far. It's gorgeous. This surely was a custom order piece. Sineus used to have some fantastic artists back in the day. I'm thinking it was a special order figure from their studio. Thanks for the great photos. I just love this stuff. When I finally get my little camera area set up again I'll take photos of my EW5.

Some more personalities from the crusades . . .

Frederick Barbarossa

Richard the Lionheart

Philippe Auguste King of France

Three great ones there! All live on my shelves too 😀

Mine too! Such a fantastic version of Arsenyev's Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa! Glorious stuff AJ! Aeroart's King Richard the Lionheart is an all time favorite of mine. I love the Oriflamme flag of King Philip II- another wonderful Aeroart piece.

Thanks guys - I know if they are on your shelves then they are good company!
I have been going back and forth whether I need the flag version of Richard - one day perhaps!

One of my favorite saracens - not sure but kit might be by Sineus but is likely a special order - again if anyone can ID the painter would love to know (I included a shot of the base).
Painting really vibrant especially the cape. Sorry if there are too many picture got carried away.

Here are some shots of PB14.3 - I had looked for this for years and was happy to finally find it this year.

Interestingly this is the only piece I have from Arsenyev where the flag was designed to come apart (the top half fits in to the part where the knight's hand is) anyone else have a piece like this / seen this variant?

Really liked the flag (if anyone could provide some information on the heraldry I would appreciate it) and the intricacy of the armour painting - you can see two hounds on the shoulder portion of the armor if you look close. So hard to photograph - I don't know how you guys do it.

Shield on the right Simon de Vere ( Geules, 3 Cinquefoils Argent ) in Saint Georges Roll 1285 . But armour is not from the same period

Just say that they are beautifull but usualy coming from Hollywoodians-Fantasy imagination

Wow, what a beauty! This must be a real stunner in person! All that detail packed into a 54mm figure, it just amazes me. You have some mind blowing pieces. This one is a perfect companion for your Saladin w/ flag. Thanks for sharing all of the photos of such an amazing figure!

Arsenyev PB23.3 - Moorish Warrior With Flag - painted by Marina Samsonova

Had always been a favourite of mine - so I caved - the only piece I have ever ordered direct.

Oh my AJ, it's gorgeous! Bravo! I'm happy you treated yourself to an Arsenyev treat! Marina Samsonova did a beautiful job. I think she is one of their very best artists. I'm gearing up to possibly place a direct order too. It's for a figure I've wanted for many years. I know you had been looking for a PB23.3, and I'm glad you now have one, and it is magnificent! Congratulations! Thank you for sharing the photos of your new treasure. I promise to share some soon too. We moved and it really set me back.

Cheers,
Joe
