Any news on Conte? (3 Viewers)

Well after no website updates for a year, it looks like the fourth one in two weeks today. The Winter Games is the featured piece. I also just noticed a 'Ragnar' based on the TV series - if he actually comes out - I Must have him! In fact a war-band based on the various characters of the screen would really appeal.
 
I think that's been there for a couple of weeks? I wish he'd get all the pictures up, I'm quite intrigued by this range. I have a good display of the CS range. Conte's Germanic Winter one might make a nice contrast.

I bought all the Winter Games Romans and Barbarians...they are great figures...I really wish he would start it up again...

No, he did not. There were rumours he had been sick, but again just rumours.

The word from China is that there is no new production going on........unless he has a secret factory.
Who knows, but don't count on anything and be happily surprised if eventually something turns up.
 
I worry about that guy.He puts up pictures of new sets and doesn't follow through.He should either close down his business or else put someone in charge who will devote his full time to it.He doesn't have to run it just because he owns it.

A bunch of rumors thrown out occasionally, even with his own website, but nothing really follows through anymore.
I believe that all he's doing, is selling his warehouse stock through ebay, and he's just fine with that.
If the faithful collectors wanna stick with Conte, and keep waiting for new releases, best of luck to them.
There is definitely something very wrong, when a mfr. needs years between announcement and delivery of sets, if any sets get delivered at all.
Oh well, each to his own :smile2:

It is like when Guns and Roses were rumoured to be working on an album for all those years.
 
He was missed by many collectors at the recent Hackensack toy soldier show, wasn't in his usual spot in the corner along the wall blowing out items at 40% off, people seemed upset, so dealers at the show did their best to sell any stock they had on hand at 40% to 50% off.

I sold some AWI, ACW and pirates sets at 50% below retail to a couple of customers, others were selling loose figures for 5.00 each.

He wasn't there in person, but he was there in spirit at those prices.
