Gents, the horse has officially been beaten.

We're moved from talking 'in theory' to naming names of people who make us angry...and that's not helpful.

Suffice it to say that the mods have been instructed to take a more active role in monitoring constant sniping (on several of the forums). Removing users from threads for inapproproate posts will become much more common.

This isn't the Wild West where you get to take the law into your own hands.

Well i got banned from the FL thread and life has been great ever since,no getting dragged into arguments coming home after a dozen beers or more and letting rip {eek3} (got a breatherliser that stops me logging on to the forum hooked up to my PC {sm4}) so even tho i sooked about it now im glad it has gone out of my life,so thanks Shaz and Pete :)wink2:) .Now i just go to the sections i like i don't think ive ever posted in the K+C glossy section (i hear a few sighs of relief) and only just started popping into JJD because of those AWESOME WW1 planes he is making.So if people don't like me/my posts etc don't read them i don't care to be honest i have my "life"out in the real world and come here for R+R a laugh and advice/criticism met some,well 1 great person so far through this forum and in the near future are going to meet some more.
I hope those,i wish they would be named or come forward and own up do get banned from the K+C section so life for us who collect and admire and love the K+C product can have our fun etc without the BS,im sure FL is a better place now im not aloud to post there anymore........................{sm4}

I miss you on First Legion Wayne, and someday you'll have that grey Panzer, it's not that shinny:):):)...Sammy

As we say in church..."AMEN":)

Now we've heard from Pete that the mods will now be looking out for deliberate baiting posts perhaps we can start to move on. All most of us I'm sure want to do is talk about the hobby we enjoy in peace and quiet and hopefully with just an eye to forum etiquette regarding where to post ra ra's we can continue in peace with no need for sanctions or ban against anyone.

Finally can I say if one good thing has come out of this thread and it's namesake down in the basement is that it's good to see people like Mike,Rob, Louis, Brad, Bob, Andy,Howard all posting on here again, it's like the old days.:smile2:

Peace love and toy Soldiers

WOW what a response from everyone. It's alittle sad to find that people are not posting because of stupid things said over the years. I have said and been guilty of let's just say having some tongue and cheek fun. Having fun to me is not fun for other members and this took me a couple of years to find this out. I have had talks with some moderators and shop owners on how I should conduct myself on this forum. I still bite my lip at times and have taken a few breaks from buying and posting and even started to sell of some of my collection. But I still have a drive and passion for toy soldiers. K&C are causing me big problems at the moment because they are releasing some great and must have pieces. It's good to see you back on the forum Andy. Simmo.:salute::

I believe it was Michael who coined the term " The Usual Suspects ", a reference to anyone that holds a so called "dissenting" view, with regards to K&C for whatever reason.

This put up a divide on the forum that left it simple, there are those whom are with us and those whom are not by what I'll call," The Long Knife's" slash, burn, take no prisoners group, that will always oppose "The Usual Suspects".

Although this group of," Long Knife's " have held to this stratagy of Slash, Burn, Take no Prisoners toward most of the TS manufacturers, CS, Figarti, TGM, and others, it really didn't manifest itself into the " Great Divide " until FL came upon the scene.

The Long Knife's tore into the infant, FL heresy like the CDC on an ebola outbreak, the unrelenting attacks on the scale, price, and subject matter of FL, til some here were just so sick of the unjustified fury and scope of these attacks and rallied to the defense of FL for no other reason but to defend a fledgling new TS company againt the Long Knife's attacks.

I became an " Usual Suspect " when I stood with the TGM's Fw-190, versus K&C's version, a thread that went viral here and lead to some of the most bizarre and self defending post ever written, most by me, to fend off the Long Knife's attacks.

Now . . . with these two groups. FL & KC, so firmly intrenched and bitterly opposed to each other, there's a call to "Purge" the Usual Suspects from the forum.

Many here, rather than chose "a side" have simple stopped posting now.

So . . a new campaign is now afoot. using the "missing posters" excuse to rid all dissent of K&C form the forum for good. . .

Night of the Long Knife's . . 1934

Definitely some truth to this post...Early reactions to FL were not at all receptive.....as I recall it....But it's time to tear down the walls that separate us all and put away the knives and the guns....We can agree to disagree and remain civil when our views differ either on K/C or FL...Time for peace and tranquility

My point on this whole thread is we all enjoy what we collect, we like this forum because of what we collect, does'nt matter (not to me anyway) which company you prefer, let others enjoy thier collections and be a positive voice, I do not need someone to tell me why this is right or that is wrong, and I know where Rob is coming from and alot of K&C guys as well, seems to be more and more arguments then ever:( I collect only First Legion but you never forget your first love:) so hope the new format works out for all threads for all the companies and we can get to just enjoying what we collect...Sammy

AMEN....God bless all on this forum

Superb post Frank, that's what we all want.

Actually I think I post quite a bit. However, there are many contributions from a lot of good posters like Wayne (not to leave out anyone else, but he's the first one to come to mind) so I don't feel I need to clutter up the Forum.

I guess I go back to what I said yesterday and previously. Let people collect what they like. If they like K & C, fine. If they like FL fine. Why belittle them or the company they collect or they style of figure they collect. I have seen some negative references to how K & C do their figures. If you don't like 'em, don't collect them. The best way to indicate displeasure with something is the power of the purse. I realize I'm not totally without sin as I used to blast the LAH line but I realize I'm not going to change the world. People are going to collect what they like regardless of what I (or somebody else) may say. So live and let live (nothing worse than a reformed person I guess ^&grin)

Again I go back to what Shannon said to me in 2005 (my historical perspective): "I just want a nice place where people can discuss toy soldiers." We (all of us) have lost sight of that at times.

Sermon over. Pete is better suited to that than me.:smile2: While we're at it, let's give a bow to Pete, Shannon, Dave, Pat and Scott. They have a tough job and let's be thankful they're on the job.

I have made a lot of friends through this forum but visit much less due to the issues covered in this thread. I now just stick to posting a few photos, but miss the banter - yes I know the rest of you are just relieved but deal with it.:redface2:

I don't see why anyone should have to be insulted on here, especially the manufacturers, so fully support Pete and Co in sorting this out. {bravo}}

I would also like to add that I am very grateful for the benefits (e.g. fun, knowledge, insight and friends) the forum has brought me over the years and wish new collectors to benefit as much in future.

Rev. Pete,

Need your opinion on whether all this civility is the result of today being Judgement Day :tongue:^&grin

I can understand if the makers are hurt and insulted when they try to put out quality products which I think they all do and it is put down but it is beyond me why the collectors here get in an uproar.YOU didn't make it.You need ro relax a little.If sitting in your chair in front of your computer reading something that someone half way across the world wrote gets your blood pressure that high than you have a real problem.DON'T read it it's that simple.There are many other threads on here for people to enjoy.I think a lot of people who complain about these kind of threads deep down really like them or they wouldn't keep reading and posting on them but they want to look like the good guys.I'm on this forum a lot and I really enjoy it.It doesn't matter if it's diorama section,product review,talking about movies or even these kind of threads I enjoy it.

I`m kind of new to the forum, but old enough to see what`s going on... There is a extraordinarily powerful driving force behind all this, and it`s simple: LOVE! Yes, we collectors love what we do, and hand in hand with love comes another powerful force, a consequence of the first: PASSION. Passion is what makes these angry/uncourteous/jealous/destructive/mean/denigrating posts that pop-up every now and then. But it is this same passion that drives us all to so avidly collect and interact, and thanks to people like you, Andy, this passion exists and thrives. The best way to deal with this is selective reading and answering, but never give up being part of it, because doing so you are suffocating a part of your passion. Keep posting Andy!
