This has been a 'work in progress' for some time and I'm finally getting to the last details (I think). A blend of Build a Rama buildings and rubble, JG Miniatures road base, Hudson/Allen snow and some home made rubble, all mounted on a foam base.
I've got to 'close the seams' where the road base parts meet (better glue I reckon) and add more rubble but all in all, it'll do for a first attempt. Can't wait to start building out some dios.

Very impressive. The snow dusted road looks fantastic.{bravo}} -- Al

Super work, Mike! I love the whole scale of this dio; you have lots of room for vehicles and figures (presuming you ultimately want to add some), as the dio actually can stand alone for all the work you've done. Congrats!

Great work Mike im finding myself being dragged more towards Dio,s rather than them just sitting in a cabinet the road looks great,will look superb with some German armour moving through town.............{sm4}

Thanks much guys, it's really been a fun project to dive into. We have so many excellent choices for dio accessories in our scale that even a fairly un-talented modeler like myself could cobble something together. I'm looking forward to a bunch of dio/photo shoot projects. Wayne, this was driven by my desire that I wanted a better display than the bookcase shelves I currently use.
The biggest challenge is that my wife wants it off the kitchen table (lol).

Wonderful dio, looks very realistic, I think with some vehicles it will really come to life...Sammy

Thanks much Sammy, I'm hoping to have time this upcoming holiday weekend to put a few more finishing touches on it and stage some scenes.

Mikew9717 - Stunning! Love the "epic" size of your diorama. Truly impressive.

Impressive looking work. Look fwd to seeing it populated with vehicles and figs.

I have several of the same buildings which is telling me to get it in gear and build something !{sm2}

Thanks for the kind words guys. Sadly, my wife has kept me busy with home chores before vacation, so I'll add the final touches to it when we return.
Aloha !
