I do not mean the figures, they are excellent, I mean the actual management of the company. The management of any new releases is awful, I think the link between the website new releases and what actually comes out is non existant. I have stopped buying as much as I used to because you just do not know when thing come out anmd they are always late. Christmas 2009 collectors club set is due in April 2010.

Good customer care guys.

Come on step up and start getting it right, because K & C have.

While to a certain extent I agree with you, and even though "Williams Britains" is a century old company this chapter is only a few years old. They are bound to have teething troubles while they get things sorted out. I for one would prefer more even releases but as the figures are so excellent I am willing to ride out the teething troubles. To be honest this last year is the most fun I have had with my TS collection setting up dios and taking pictures of my Zulu war.

You also have to look at how K&C and Britains announce their releases. Britains have a catalogue for the year with a couple of flyers added in later on in the year. K&C do theirs monthly. Both have their merits. IMO neither one is better than the other.

Hi
I found the same thing.I waited along time for the Black Watch Pipe Band and I`m still waiting for the rest of the figures??Sometime you can only wait for so long then maybe move on to other figures.
Still waiting in Nova Scotia
Cheers

Perhaps the problems with WB managment have to do with other factors such as the economy in the USA. I suggest that their release schedule may be off because their customer (and other TS company's) base is contracting yet the market place is awash in toy soldiers. Take a look on EBAY and various stores, they are basically dumping products, except for KC, however, that will probably happen to them soon, too. Also many collectors seem to be trimming down their collections for various reasons. I recently purchased a Zulu war wagon, gloss, for $25.00 except shipping.

Well that is my 2cents.

Dave,

All the figures for the BW band have been released. Are you sure it isn't a problem with your dealer?

Frankly IMHO the title of this thread is just outright overly exagerated. As a WB ACW collector that keeps in touch with Richard Walker and Ken Osen, I am aware of why scheduled production releases have been delayed these past several months. The delays have been consciously made to insure quality control in the best interest of the collector/customer while "bugs" are worked out with the new overseas factories and painters that WB is using. Patience is a virtue, and for those of us that have it, the wait will certainly be worth it.

I'm sure Richard Walker and his staff would love to have the same lead time and controlling factors that's available to K & C whose based in China. There's alot time, effort care and planning that's required an done to bring their porducts to market. There's no doubt they're as disappointed as we are when a factory runs behind in delivering their sets and figures as scheduled. I haven't heard until now anyone one other than you stopping to buy as much as you use to. There are those of us although having to wait a little longer are extremely pleased and happy even though it's taken the additional time for the figures and sets to get to us. Gee I'd hate to hear what you'd have to say if K& C started to run late due to the delays from the factory would you stop buying as much as you buy from them if they did. I can't see how you can justify your comments for I see no justification in them. The Lt.

The Lt makes a great point in that companies like K & C, JJD, FL, etc, etc that have someone on the ground in China do much better job at getting items out in a timely fashion.

Figarti has gone so far as to create their own factory, so they are really on top of things as a result considering they own the factory.

And if I am not mistaken, TGM is either moving or is already moved to China to oversee things.

Britains as far as I know does not have someone on the ground in China, I may be wrong.....................

THIS IS NOT MY THREAD, I HAVE JUST LOGGED ON TO FIND THIS THREAD, I THINK I HAVE A SECURITY ISSUE AND SOMEONE IS PUTTING THREADS ON IN MY NAME. THERE WAS TWO OTHER THREADS ON ABOUT K & C WHICH WERE NOT MINE.

THIS IS MY PROBLEM AND BEEN CAUSED BY ME [through using wireless system which has been accessed by someone else in my building] AND IS NO WAY A PROBLEM WITH THE FORUM. THEREFORE i WILL BE CLOSING DOWN MY ACCOUNT.

Well you obviously have another toy soldier collector in your building then.

Although I do not doubt that the theft of his identity occurred, the odds that the identity would be done by another toy soldier collector seem rather high to me. The whole thing seems mystifying.

If it turns out that there are two IP addresses, does it mean the perpetrator need not "break" the member's forum password to submit bogus posts ?

Raymond.
I don't see why but I suspect the majority do not use difficult passwords for forums like this. Ok, how many of you use your wife's name or "password"?;):D

OK. But I am sure there are other members on the forum using wireless, so it could happen again to someone else.

the Wifi connections are the worst for easy attack...

I can log on my Wifi connection and it tells me who else is on in my general vicinity...my neighbors..

in fact...

if I can't get a good signal...

I can use their Internet connection...for real...

Nah, don't use the wife's name. The girlfriends is much nicer sounding. :)
Joking! Joking!

Most have us have low security settings here.
What is odd is that some-one got on to Pieper's account who knew about toy soldiers. If my neighbour got on here he would not know the first thing about Trophy, WB, FL, K and C polystone scale etc.
That is what does not make sense.
