"A squad of G.I.'s from the 16th RCT assault a bunker overlooking the bluffs at Omaha Beach."

The bunker and scene is inspired by the assault on the bunker during the Omaha Beach sequence in Saving Private Ryan. I've always found that scene visually stunning.

I carved the bunker from pink insulation foam and then weathered using a variety of basic acrylics and Tamiya weathering powders. The ground work is made using garden dirt mixed with PVA and water along with basic Woodland Scenic static grass.
Hope you all enjoy!:salute::

That's outstanding work! I must say mission accomplished. Wonderful artistry throughout and great images. Thank you for sharing.

Yes you have made a perfect replica of what the Allies faced on D-Day. Excellent Jake. Hopefully you can work some more scenes using this. Robin.

Great work on the bunker/scenery and nice photos. Well done.

Excellent work Jake!
Looking forward to seeing more of your creativity….and the figures really come alive in your setting.

Hi Guys!

Thank you for all the generous and kind comments. Still a novice in comparison to the fantastic work that so many create including Ken and Erika Osen, and the late Gordon Neilson. I know our hobby is shrinking, but is there any interest for seeing scenics like the bunker being sold on a commission basis? Happy to hear any thoughts.

I'm sure you'd have some takers. This looks like a still from a well-done war movie.
