Here a WAAF gives directions to an American airman from outside the local Pub.

Wow this is really nice, looks like a postcard picture. Did u make those houses?

Duke, great stuff mate, reminds me of some old war movies. I also like the forced perspective you have achieved in the different shots.

excellent set up really like the black and white picture
Mitch

Simple but very nice
great story, great set up, great dio !!!!!
guy:)

Thanks for the kind words Wayne, PA, OD, Mitch and Guy. I thought I would do something a little different and away from the front lines. The Pub/Inn from WB is a great piece. I just got it in and think I'll be able to use it for many scenes in the future. This was a quick and easy set up taking just minutes to put together.... the WB Pub/Inn, then some JG Miniatures cobblestone street sections, and the K&C Tilly and figures.

Excellent scene as usual Duke, love the pub. Great work mate{bravo}}

Rob

Great stuff Duke, like the light on in the window, how did you do that?

Thanks Wayne and Tom.

Tom, the light in the window was actually a total accident! I noticed it after I took all my photos and was looking at them. It is just a reflection of the lamp I was using to light the scene during the photography. It's funny how the light must have been positioned to show up in only the one window like it did.

Thanks Wayne and Tom.

It's a good accident Duke, adds realism to the shot!

Duke, that's just ruined it for me, I thought it was a mini light like those model railway guys use :wink2: ^&grin

But to be serious for one moment, yes I can be if I try. I like the way you shoot the pics at the eye level of the figures, and close in, like an actual photographer in the scene.

Tom, I went back and looked at the around 40 photos or so I took of this scene and the "light" was in only 2 of the 40 photos. The lamp must have been positioned just right for those 2.

^&grin Thanks Matt. I'm very much the amateur photographer, but I like to experiment with the camera and different angles. I put these dios on a small table and then crouch down or sit on the floor to get the eye level shots. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Really well set up and photographed - and the English have not always had such luck telling the Yanks where to go :)

Thanks Fitzgibbon. I've noticed you've posted several dios recently and they are really looking good mate.
