A lone German sentry stands guard on a Gun position not knowing the pending invasion is just days away......

A Pak 40 temporarily fills the position until the big gun shows up.

As Wayne said PA, nice bunker.

Rob

PA, today you can still see in Normandy bunkers, large and small, with a pak 40 still in place . I saw one on Omaha beach and a little note was attached to the gun . It read: "Für mein Kamerad" signed Otto. Also the Germans had feelings .....
guy:smile2:

Great bunker..like it a lot!!...Looks to me to be a pretty good copy of a Type R (regelbau) 670. a Kriegsmarine design mostly equipped with a
105mm K 331/332 f Cannon, but also with various cannons salvaged from retired German Naval vessels and manned by Kriegsmarine crews.
Look forward to seeing the dio with the correct hardware installed!!.

Thanks again to you guys.I picked up this bunker at the show last week. Anyone interested in getting one contact : www.sdsoldiers.com It is a Toy Soldiers of San diego
product. Made of painted hard foam it runs in the $55.00 range.

PA, I'm guessing you're really tempted to put this in a big beach dio with camo netting barbed wire and attacking troops?:wink2:^&cool

Rob, I knew you were a mind reader ! ^&grin I saw the bunker at the show last week and had to have it. It would work perfect for a Normandy scene. Cheers
