Badolato Collection Photos (2 Viewers)

Dave,

I will be happy to take a few more shots of the Northwest Frontier stuff if it is not too much trouble for Brad to post. I can also take some shots of the Glossy Zulus if you would like.

I think I have a few more of the Last Stand of the Seaforths and Northwest Frontier to post so let me do that first and then see if Dave wants more.

Louis
Is that a Trophy Nile Boat Steamer hiding under the Civil War diorama. I would love some pics of that. Do you have much Trophy stuff
Regards
Damian

Yes, that's a Trophy Nile River Steamer. I will ask Brad if he has some shots of it to post.

Louis,

I don't. Can you shoot both ships and send them to me. They're great models.

I just sent Brad some shots of the boats, as well as a few more shots of the NW Frontier diorama.

I must say I am a sucker for the glossy stuff. Now Iknow the matt stuff is great especially more modern conflicts but I do feel that the old colonial war stuff (Zulu, Eggypt and Sudan NW Frontier) is really suited to gloss finish.
That is a great collection

WooooW!

Those are excellent photos Louis! Thanks for posting them for me. I really enjoyed the gun boats too. Can you give any details about the NWF sets I am really interested in them and would like to put a mention of them in my Durbar catalog under the Indian Army section. If you want I can pm you my email and you can send the information to me that way. If you are interested I can send you the Durbar Catalog I put together its still in working format but you could get an idea of what I am looking for. I have it saved in PDF format so it should be compatible. Drop me a message and if you are interested.

All the best

Dave

Here are some photos I shot on Saturday of the Alamo:

One of the Arnhem Backlot buildings. The two pictures are of the same building. Made of paper mache. This one is probably the coolest of all of them.

For the Romans fans (Louis will know what the castle is made of, perhaps paper mache):

What a fantastic collection ,thanks for taking the time to take and post
photos .I especially like the glossy highlanders.
Did you manage to fing space in your musuem for any other glossy
manufacturers. Love the trophy boat also .
cheers Rob

I noticed that you have ope shelves to display your collection. How do you keep the dust away? Any special blower? Just curious.

N-P
the dust is the problem off all collectors and if you dont have a closed display is inevitable, this collection is wonderful.........

ciao

max

That four piece fort is impressive, but I still can't work out how you build with paper mache like that.

I love that Dickens collection.I have never seen them before and i think they are wonderful.I would collect them at a drop of a hat if they were reissued.

Rob

Not me Rob...i'd bomb out those buildings and turn that dio into a WWII display!

I guess that's why they call you Warbuff!

Louis told me a few months ago that he just wanted the display/diorama piece but that Jim Hillestadt made him buy the whole collection!
