Baseball 2016 (3 Viewers)

Red Sox lost to the last place MFY's tonight thanks to Enrico Palazzo behind home plate, horrible strike zone for both teams all night long. In the ninth with the bases loaded, he called a 3-1 pitch in the dirt strike 2, Ortiz went postal, then he rang him up on a strike three call that was also in the dirt, him and Farrell both got tossed.

What a disgrace.

Should have been ball four, tie game.

MLB umpires are THE most arrogant, self important assbags in all of sports; guaranteed that ump won't hear a word about his piss poor job behind the plate tonight from MLB.

Yankees scored the go ahead run after Ellsbury left the game and some tomato can named Hicks who was hitting .088 hit a home run.

Even in last place, these assclowns find new and interesting ways to annoy the **** out of me.

Actually, umpires get graded and sometimes suspended by MLB but these things are never made public.

There's a story in today's Times indicating that some of the players who have been suspended for steroids are taking a steroid invented by East Germany for its athletes. It's possible that the drug may be an unlabeled ingredient in some supplements and that people didn't know what they were taking. The article also indicated that many more suspensions arising out of the use of the steroid will be handed down in the next few weeks. Any person who is suspended cannot participate in the playoffs.

On a scale of one to ten, I'd give that stooge behind the plate last night a -5.

He rang Ortiz up on a BS strike three call because he argued the horrible strike two call.

Absolutely unreal.

Anyone who watches those highlights and claims either one of those is a strike is either an ex umpire or someone who has a family member who's an umpire.

Or, they're an MFY fan......................

I didn't see the Yanks/Sox game so I pulled up the high lites this morning and dude{eek3}....the strike out of Ortiz was BS!!!!!!!!!!!!! if it had gone any further outside it would have been a passed ball, it's sucks to lose any game but when the Umps push a very close game one way or the other it makes it a hard pill to swallow...Sammy

Come to think of it, you really can't blame that ump Sammy; it was cold and rainy, if he called it a ball, tie game and extra innings. He had dinner reservations for 11:00PM, so extra innings would have been out of the question.

It's one thing to make a bad call, but to ring up a guy out of spite is beyond my comprehension...................

The Ump better hope the dinner Chef isn't a Red Sox fan, he may get a little something extra in the sauce!! ^&grin should be a interesting series this weekend, how's the weather today??...Sammy

Cloudy at gametime, rain coming tonight and tomorrow, not sure about the game tomorrow night............

Congrats Mike as the AAA MFY's are leading Price today 4-2 after the immortal Didi effing Gregorius golfed an 0-2 pitch down the line for a bases clearing triple on an 0-2 meatball.

'Some tomato can named Evodius is stoning them so far, guess that butcher behind the plate got into their heads.

Imagine losing today and facing the possibility of getting swept by this pack of stiffs.........................................with no Sherman Klump, AROID and Dreamboat the corpses of Beltran and Horseface leading the way...................oldest team in the majors, they have one player in the starting line up under the age of 31.........................

Nats are failing miserably in Chicago. Lost last night and are getting beaten again today. Scherzer just hasn't been the same pitcher this season that he was the first 2/3 of last season. His command is off as he is walking a lot of people and is giving up gopher balls like no one's business. Actually, he has now yielded 23 Hr's in his last 19 starts going back to last August, with an ERA over 4 in that time period. Scherzer has given up 9 of the 20 Hr's the Nats have yielded this season, in only 43 innings. He has been the least effective Nats starter by quite a bit. It is worrisome. -- Al
Nats lost again today and I am forced to admit that the Cubs are really good. Their starting pitching is good, the relief pitching is adequate, but it's their offense that is the real difference. They are just relentless, with no holes, and they just keep coming at you. Nats have had leads in this series but couldn't hold any of them. Nats have been in each game but just couldn't match the offensive output, plus the Cubs have pitched around Harper the whole series (walking him 7 times in the 3 games) because he has no real protection at the moment. Maybe the long season will dull the Cubs a bit, but right now they are a juggernaut. Nats now have to beat Arrieta tomorrow to avoid the Chicago sweep. Good luck with that. -- Al

Best last place team, that money can buy^&grinMichael

The Man, The Myth, The Legend Bartolo Colon just hit a 2 run HR, a no doubter, for his first major league homer.

I know it's early (about 30 games/20% of the way in), but the Cubs are absolutely loaded and I can't see any team in either league beating them, they'll probably win 110 or so games, if they don't win the WS this year, they never will.

Their rotation is very good and they are like a beer league softball team, loaded with mashers who like Al said just keeping coming at you.

Maybe the Mets with their pitching, but that's really about it.

We'll see, still a lot of baseball left, but like Brad said, they remind me of the 1984 Tigers............

Here's a stat for the 2016 Braves:

"How bad can it get? Here’s how bad so far: The Braves are the first team to lose 13 of their first 14 home games since the 1913 Yankees. It’s the worst start in franchise history through 29 games."

On the positive side, great seats will soon be easy to get and cheap to buy...

They are on a pace to break the 1962 Mets' record for futility.

If he isn't clean, he'd have been suspended as I'm sure he's frequently tested so take your innuendo and you know what you can do with it.

You'd love to have him on your team.

He was and did well for us..You are too sensitive about the Mets. Look at George, he takes RS crap from me all the time and gives it back at me till I end up cowering in a corner, sobbing my eyes out..then I buy a K/C piece from him to make me feel better..Michael^&grin

I highly endorse this line of thinking; anyone who needs to feel better, shoot me an email or a call and I'll get some nice toy soldiers right out to you....................:wink2:
