Baseball 2016 (2 Viewers)

The Giants are only 3 games out now. I hope they can keep it close until their next big series with the Dodgers in a week or so.

After the next three games, the Mets schedule gets easier. The Cardinals have to play the Cubs at the same time so I will be looking for some help from the Cubs. Then the Cards play the Giants and I'm hoping for the Cards to take care of business, with the Dodgers to follow suit. Sorry, Jason but we're down to the nitty gritty and every team for itself.

The Nats have to put 2 replacement starters in against the Mets, Latos and Cole, against 2 replacement starters for the Mets. I think the Nats will be lucky to take 1 of the games and that's assuming Roark is sharp in game 3. -- Al

Tillman was killing it in Detroit today, O's win the series, off to Boston for a big series...Sammy

Brad:

No apologies necessary, I feel the same way. May the best team win.

Besides, if the Giants do lose their playoff spot I hope it goes to a team like the Mets whose fans (especially yourself) deserve it.

The Donald would say, "Miley...you're fired!" -- Al

To be totally honest Al, once I saw the rotation I was sure of a loss with this guy:mad::mad: now that Tillman is back can't we just go to a 4 man rotation?? Tillman, Bundy, Gausman, and our fav. Ubaldo who is pitching very well of late, throw Miley down to the minors as that dude has been a lost cause from the get go...Sammy

Brilliant outing by Miley. 4 outs recorded, 8 hits allowed, 1 walk, and 6 runs scored. Just what the O's needed.:rolleyes2::mad: What a bum. -- Al

Brilliant performance by Montero tonight: 6 runs in 1.2 innings.

Red Sox up 9-2 on the LET'S GO O'S!!, they'd better save some runs for the rest of the series, but so far, so good....................

the Raven defense gave up less points in a whole game then the O's baseball team did in nearly half a game{eek3} oh well, at least we got Miley out of the way for a week, let's hope Bundy/Gausman can help turn this series around.

Ortiz hit another bomb tonight, now tied with Mantle for 17th all time for home runs.

I'll see if I can pull some strings and get the ball sent to you Michael so you can stick it......in your trophy case.....................:wink2:

If I told you once, I've told you 8,457 times; Ortiz has a gut and a half. HGH users/steroid users/performance enhansing drug users are lean and ripped.

You know, like A-Roid, Giambi, Clemens, Petite and all the rest of the cheaters who played for the MFY's........................

He did use steroids so why should he be treated any differently? The only thing going for him is that he's not an idiot like Arod. No known users should ever get to sniff the Hall of Fame.

Nice gut.. the guy was named in the same report that called out Arod...only difference is Ortiz is likable and the Red Sox press corp were complicit in his coverup, while the everyone hates the Yanks press corp found Arod to be an easy villian. Still waiting for the explanation promised by Ortiz when he got outed...Maybe a death bed confession is somewhere in the future.. Do not put Poppy in the same class as Mantle, he don't belong there. Michael

Mantle is an iconic player. The only player in the last 50 years that I'd mention in the same breath is Mays.

Nice picture; when's that from 2004?

What's the point of posting a picture of him next to Altuve; is it his fault he's a short ballplayer, what's your point?

He's put on a lot of weight the past few years and it's not muscle.

His legs are shot; if he was on HGH, he'd bounce back from this injury and play another three of four years. He's retiring because of his injuries, he's not on anything.

And he's definitely not in the same class as Mantle; after he hits his next bomb, he'll pass him on the all time home run list, so he'll be ahead of him.

He's a first ballot HOF lock, he carried the team on his back in their 2004 and 2013 WS wins, so wish in one hand, hope in the other and see where that gets you.

If the MFY's picked him up after the Twins released him, there would already be a statue of him in front of the nouveau toilet in the Bronx.

You hate on him because he's on the Red Sox; if he was on your team or any other team for that matter, you'd love the guy.

Who are you kidding.

He's a DH, a good one, but a DH. That and his steroid usage will keep him out of the Hall, fortunately.
