Beautifully done, The quiet before the storm :salute::

schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 560 was subordinated to 12. SS-Panzerdivision "Hitlerjugend" to act as the second abteilung for its panzer regiment. This is similar to the way that schwere SS-Panzerabteilung 501 (Tiger II) was subordinated to 1. SS-Panzer-Division "Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler".

On December 16 1944 schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 560 consisted of the following vehicles:
17 x Jagdpanther
28 x Jagdpanzer IV
4 x Möbelwagen
4 x Wirbelwind
2 x Bergepanther
4 x Sd.Kfz. 251/1
3 x Sd.Kfz. 7/1

schwere Panzerjäger-Abteilung 560 was assigned to Kampfgruppe Kuhlmann and was to attack along Rollbahn C. Other units assigned to this kampfgruppe include:
SS-Panzerregiment 12 (Panthers and Panzer IVs)
III Bataillon, SS-Panzergrenadierregiment 26 (mounted in SPWs)
I Bataillon, SS-Panzerartillerieregiment 12 (towed 10.5 cm and 15 cm howitzers)
Flak and Engineer units

Weather on Dec 16 was very low clouds with fog patches and light rain.

Thanks Mike.

December 23, 1944. Panzergrenadiers see the sunrise and know allied aircraft will soon arrive over the battlefield.
