BBG049(W) Special "SnowStug" (2 Viewers)

Total agree Terry ! You would of thought with the link posted on here it would of done better :rolleyes2:

Sometimes I think that a listing that runs for only 24 hours is way too short especially ending on a weekend...but I might be wrong too!

How about the two that sold in England mentioned by Mitch. One was at £600 which is roughly $900 over here. {eek3}

The e-bay listing for the Snow Slug closed at $267 with only two bids - an increase of just $38. Deduct the 10% e-bay and Paypal fees of $27 and the profit was about $11 - not worth the effort.

Terry

From Buyer viewpoint - he did managed to get and enjoy a SOLD-OUT piece at not much a premium ;)

It will be interesting to see if the seller ship it that price going by past feedback :rolleyes2:

Terry...

That's not much but, we don't know what it was bought for in the first place so, the profit could be more. Not sure the listing time helped maybe some of those who would have paid more were not on that day, so, agree with the comments that a longer listing may have been advisable.

I think more will come up or be sold privately for more I know a few who have just found out they were released and are really peeved they missed out and are now high on their wants lists'

I think, though hindsight is a wonderful thing that K&C could easily have made this a 250 edition and sold the lot

What really is not "worth the effort" is making such a big deal about who sold what for how much..................Are the old hens really that bored ????? Jeeeeeeezzzzzzz !

One thing to add here on this dear topic for some. If the item sold for double retail people would be screaming bloody murder. Since it sold for a little over retail, people........still complain {sm2}

Don't see the problem of who sells what.....................^&confuse
Good luck to them for seeing one..............................^&grin

Cluck! Cluck!

Of course collectors are interested in the listing and sale. It hits on many points of discussion including limited runs, pricing, reselling, the state of the market. How could you expect no reaction or comments.

Why are you making a fuss. People are always interested in what items sell for, especially rare ones that wind up on eBay.

Funny but, I watched ''Chicken run'' the other evening and, IMO they really were that bored!!!LOL

Ok Guys, No problem. I actually wound up getting 2 of them as I ordered mine from Treefrog and the other was pre ordered automatically for me from another dealer as they assumed I wanted one so I wound up getting 2 in one week which
I was not expecting, nor wanting. Offered the other "Spare" on E-Bay at a fair starting bid taking into consideration seller fees and PayPal fees the buyer/collector got one at a fair price IMO.

Re: BBG049(W) Special "SnowStug" - question for Panzer Ace

Panzer Ace...

I received my Snow Stug today and I was wondering the following about your Snow Stug:

Bottom side of my Stug displays production year as 2011?...is this what yours says?

The K&C box - small white sticker shows BBG049?...is this what yours shows or possibly BBG049W?

I very much like the winterized version. However it appears K&C took old unsold Stug stock and winterized them. Maybe not but 2011 date on bottom of tank is shown.

Comments?

Appreciate your input...Spud

That is exactly what K&C did and they made it clear they were doing it when it went on sale. They were clearing out their unsold BBG049 by winterizing the 149 that were left, increasing the price by $10. It was discussed in threads on this forum.

Thanks for confirming Terry...I haven't read all the posts on this subject so I appreciate your clarification. Like I said, I really like this version, just learning the facts!

Mine came with the colored graphics box marked bbg049,as they most likely all are. ! Kind of like the surprise effect
Of this release as it was kept quiet and popped up out of nowhere. :wink2:

Asked around many dealers before I managed to get ONE... {sm3}
