Why only 149 made ?
Why not the usual amount so we all get one i know there is alot of unhappy collectors around, this isn't a go at K&C or starting a argument i just/and others want to to know.
Its a brilliant release IMO better than the original i didn't grab the original because it wasn't winterised enough for my liking.

What is the release date? What dealers have for sale?..thanks...Spud

I wondered how long it would take for this to become an issue.

Maybe they had some leftover inventory and decided to paint it.

Probably leftovers in stock at K&C so added some whitewash and made a new model to clear out remaining inventory of a retired piece still available from dealers..

Congrats on your "Promotion" Jazz. We have another 4 Star General around :salute:: :salute::

And by the sounds of things he has taken Robs job as K&C rep.

Wayne...

I hear what your are saying but, this is the way now for releases and has been for some time. It could be a double edged sword but, K&C know their business. I mean this in the fact that some collectors and, this comes from some I have spoken with are thinking of holding off buying AFV's when one is released as another version may come along that is a lesser edition (thinking about a later resale) and, more to their liking. This release in peoples minds is more what they see as ''winter'' than the other version which had no white wash.

I suppose though as there are plenty of painters around a winterised version can be done for you exactly to your requirements. I know its not much consolation if you want this set and have been unable to get it but, its better than a slap in the face with a wet fish!!! or, so the saying goes

I booked one via my dealer, so if you're fast i don't think its a problem to getting one.

No.......fees. Just Kidding :wink2:

Well, as a matter of fact I have Wayne twins. Andy said to me "well laddie, congrats on yer promotion and since you're taking Rob's place as my Treefrog rep, what would you like. Would you like a B 17 or a Handley Page?" Says me, "gee Cobber, I jest can't make up my mind. Can I have both?". Says the big fella, "no problem, matey." Photos below ^&cool

Isn't Andy a swell boss? :wink2:

WOW no wonder Rob left he had it all...............................^&grin
Hey Jimmy.

Brad,
I am thinking Andy got a better deal with Rob. You seem kinda expensive^&grin

Regarding the new Stug I am not sure it is that much of an issue as all my customers who have wanted one were able to get one. Not sure about situation with other dealers. As we know their availability will be affected by some buying them who do not really want them so I expect a few will appear on Ebay quite soon after release.

Regards
Brett

Wayne,
Actually yes they did. Not sure why you are confused.

Like most dealers I factor in a number of points when allocating limited items. First have to be a customer and then from there they go to those who are regulars who I know would collect such an item. If there are not enough then it is based on who buys the most (however there have been occasions when I have allocated something to not such a big collector but when I knew it would mean more to the other guy). With the Stug there were some who were not even aware of it but I factored them in anyway. Another factor is the reliability of the collector in buying items ordered in the past. So quite a few things can come into it. I think other dealers probably have similar ways of looking at it.

Brett

Value added, value added my man, as they say in the trade. Now, lookey here, is Andy call Rob and ask him to deliver a package? Of course not, but if Andy calls and says "hey, good buddy, can you look at this termination notice I'm sending to the Military Workshop" (hypothetically, of course :wink2:), well, here I am. Value added, value added ^&grin

Had an interesting chat with someone today re this release. Is this going to come in a different box or, have something denoting it as a 149 release or not?? I said I thought it would not but, it then raises the question of people copying the stug paintwork and selling it for a huge amount on e-bay as one of the releases

We see fraud cloning on many products so, it could happen to these products. I suppose its not much of a job to replicate what is being changed. Many collectors would probably never know. Its the same with fixing items and posing them as mint easy to do if you are unwilling to take the hit on the price for a repaired (professionally or other) set
