Anybody watching Season 4?? Great show, but little ticked at Ep 3, one of my favorite Seafarers meets his end, the British look quite dishonorable. Aye Matey, here is hoping for a happy ending season!

Yeah I didn't expect an ending like that for that bloke.

Kind of po'd me that my 2 favorite Pirates received foul endings, I mean this is fiction right, are they not supposed to win? Here is hoping they throw Guthrie from the top of the fort and keel haul Woodes Rogers, I always rooted for the Pirates when I was young, no use to turn over a new leaf now. Raise The Black! Let the bad guys win!

that keelhailing is nasty business...I miss Teach laready...

Vane and Teach have always been my favorite Pirates to read about - Calico Jack is ok too. Really kind of pissed when Teach met his end, that was so far non historical for the most part and caught me by surprise. I hope the rest doesn't really stink as we have move on to the truly fictional pirates at this point - Flynt, Billy Bones and Long John.

I just hope Guthrie gets her just , wouldn't mind it if she and Rogers met the same fate at Blackbeard.

You think it might be a little non historical? Like you I just love Pirate lore and legend. Ole Teach met his end near Hateras Inlet off the coast of Ocracoke Island, North Carolina . . . . been going there ever since as a child. One of my favorite vacation spots. The episode was still very entertaining . . .

Yeah I really enjoy this.Black Sails and Vikings have blended historical with non historical elements and that's ok as I look at them for enjoyment not a history lesson.I have my books for that.

No, I am under no delusion that the facts are not correct! I know how Teach met his end, his entire life was actually quite charmed thanks to the Gov. of NC. Vane's end was a hanging, but not in such a honorable or glorious manner as may be shown on Black Sails. I do like how they blended the truly historical pirates into the story and the history of Nassau. That was more of my point, but I do agree with you, entertaining, just thought they short changed the most famous/infamous pirate of all! Mike and Mark, I do agree there is nothing like reading about the legends of these raiders and as I have said many times, you just can't make a bad pirate movie or tv show in my book!

By the way, who is looking forward to Pirates 5!

sad to see this come to an end tonight...I have enjoyed this series...being somewhat of a spinoff to a pre story of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island...I'm assuming Flint will die tonight...and Long John Silver will be marooned on the island...but you never know with this show...they seem to have no problem killing off anyone...so...tonight's series finale should be interesting...

Flint is content with his fate.:rolleyes2::rolleyes:{eek3}^&grin

Will miss this show, second only to Game of Thrones for me.

Who knew pirates could live happily ever after? Excellent series. I thought they went out a little soft though with everyone more or less surviving. I did like how fact and fiction were intertwined to demonstrate how what becomes history is often created. Along those lines it would have been great to end this series with Billy Bones entering the Admiral Benbow Inn per the beginning of Treasure Island.

I thought the same thing...would love to see Starz start a new series...Treasure Island...

I liked the series a lot...but the script writer had me struggling to stay awake sometimes with these long dialog scenes they would throw in 2-3 times per episode...some of them 5-10 minutes...I thought some of the dialog could have been condensed...still very good show...definitely action packed...
