Bored Tonight...Post a Diorama, LOL (3 Viewers)

my basement is still cluttered from the fire but decided I could rehash some old pics for everyones amusement: and just for fun!! :D:D

A dalek has run amok!!

CC,
Might want to check you're references there bud.
I don't believe the Mk XVII Dalek ever came with the blue shroud. Scale looks a tad off as well. By my reckoning, that Dalek is !/28 at best, maybe even 1/26.

I think you busted my stones like that the last time- nothing beats recycled jokes with recycled pics :D:p:p

Actually, there is some scaling issues- the Mk XVIII Dalek-AP (anti personnel) variant was produced to be more human sized. I decided to exercise some artistic/historical license to emphasis the drama of the situation, so I went with 1:26.5 scale. You will also notice that the dalek is in the early war gray colors rather than the dull, drab Britisth green/brown combination. Also, you will notice that the toilet plunger AP death ray is in fact made of metal, which was in very short supply due to rationing :D

I'm getting old. Can't remember where I've placed constructive feedback in the past :D

Mate, Khaki is the new Black. It'll be hitting the catwalks this summer, you mark my words.

Remember them from first postings. That McFarlane shot is the dogs danglies.
Still picking up the occasional one, but got most of them now (another CC induced tangent to my scattergun approach to collecting ).

Thanks Joe, trust likewise. Yep, I know I'm overdue. The wife keeps finding alternate tasks for any free time I have at the moment, mainly involving a 4" emulsion brush, rather than a 0/5 sable

Glad to see the forum is back up and running!
A few Reb artillery conversions I did awhile back in a quick little diorama.

Joe,

You just get better and better. Have you ver thought of doing video? No only filming (YouTube) the final diorama but doing "how to build your own dioramas"?

Carlos, I am thinking about doing video...I even got one of those little flip video cameras so I could easily upload the vids, but I haven't done anything with it yet. Part of the problem is that I don't do dioramas in quite the same way you do. You make long lasting works of art, like your Battle of the Bulge Dio, where I make scenes just for the pictures. I work with illusion for scale. Most of my pictures are as big as the backdrop and scenery will allow. Like in thiese pics I give the illusion of a corn field when I really don't have enough 'corn' to pull it off except for the exact angle I'm shooting from. And without backgrounds, I'm not sure how good the set up would look on video. But, I do have some ideas I hope to get around to.

Hello Joe, how are you?

Very nice and colourful as always, I really like your vegetation. ME, I am still struggling with mine...:redface2:
