By comparison, here are some of K & C's Afghans. I'm partial to the Trophy ones.

Martyn, the only one that would go halfway with the Trophy Pathans is the one on the left in the first photo. Overall, the Trophy ones are better.

Two versions of Kaiser Wilhelm made by K & C. In the first photo the figure on the left is the first WW I figure made by K & C in 2007. The other Kaiser was made in 2011.

Lieutenant Colonel De Salis and Drummer from Trophy's Crimean War Range.

De Salis was a member of the Light Brigade and he and his steed Drummer Boy participated in the Charge in which Drummer Boy was wounded. Out of almost 700 horses which participated in the battle, about 500 were killed. De Salis was impressed by Drummer Boy's bravery and stamina and he decided that the horse deserved a medal as much as the men who had fought in the Charge. He acquired a campaign medal awarded to British troops who served in the Crimea and had the rim engraved with the horse's name and the fact that he had been born in Ireland in 1848. On the reverse is the inscription "Carried Lt Col de Salis 8th Hussars".

Possibly the figure of the year - and it is only March. I find the reaction to this figure on the forum interesting. It seems everyone likes it although it is such an unusual piece.

Quoted the wrong post!

I think people like it because it's such an unusual but beautiful piece. I'm curious to see what other figures may be issued this year.

I found these Somerset figures at a show last weekend. I had never seen these before so they are several years old, how old I don't know.

Very Nice Brad, Just watched "Glory" again the other night, brave men. Just sorry it's such a highly "politically correct" atmosphere these days, there renaming Robert E Lee schools and tearing out Texas Civil war hero statues on the college campuses down here, rewriting history, what a shame....
