Britains the War Along the Nile (1 Viewer)

Its the entire WWI collection from britains (the early years). Have not decided on collecting the later war items...but the supplement catalog peaked my interest...also looking at the conte highlanders coming out...btw...anyone read the sedan vs nw frontier on the conte site when you click the preorder link for the Gordon's?

I intend to collect all the NW Conte, but my research seems to indicate these might be sometime coming, so best not hold your breath. To fill the void Britain's will luck out as all the Nile figures are in my sights, with some support from the JJ Sudan releases. Have now watched most of the films mentioned on the Conte site to fuel my interest in this period of 1880-1900.

Russell,
Sorry for any confusion when I said "early years" these are the figures that britains started the new WWI line with a few years ago. They represent 1914 and are matte.

Received my August Standard today. Great articles covering AZW, ACW, Sudan, Sculptor Allen Ball, and Scenics. In the article about the importance of scenics there is a "work in progress" photo of the Nile River paddle wheel steam boat that will be coming out in the future. Those of you that are/will be collecting the War Along the Nile range will really like this one . . .
:) Mike

Ken...do you have any plans for some "dead" Mahdist or FW's...I hope you might consider this...

We understand that casualties are needed for all of the W. Britain ranges that have depth. This tragic side of warfare will be reflected in future offerings for several of the ranges, including the Sudan.
Hope this helps a bit Mike,
Ken

Ken...you're "Johnny on the spot"...thanks for the quick reply and the affirmative on the casualties of war...they are a necessity to any battle diorama and sorely welcomed...

They look like they blend well Brent, great news, mine are still on order so it will awhile before I can see first hand. Thankyou for the photo. Cheers, Robin.

A very nice start to your "War Along the Nile" collection Brent. The Wm Britain figures and John Jenkins Design figures appear to work very well together. Thanks for sharing with us.
:) Mike

Thanks guys. JJD fit in great...and with the release date delays from Britains on the Sudan series, JJD fills the void and feeds the collecting fire:D...of course my wife is tired of seeing boxes come in the mail....but I love this stuff!:D

The latest release arrived today...Highlander standing/firing..

Martyn: Thanks for the photos. Were those Britains' diorama bases?

Hi Tommy/Martyn
I recognise the style of those bases. They will have been made by our good friend David at TM Terrain, he has made similar bases for me (as well asthe big stuff)
Thoroughly recommended.
Regards
Clive
