Scott do you have the bayonet and hopefully so. You can reattach it by using the Testor glue that comes in a green tube to reattach it. I had to use it on my figure when I snap it over have to straithen it after having bended it a few time turn play time. The Glues available at Walmart and Hobby Shops who carry Testor products. Hope this helps....Joe

I agree with Joe, you've got to give it a try

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks Joe, for the price of a tube of glue I guess it is worth a shot. I have a trip to Walmart and see what they have.

Cheers :)

Scott be sure it's the Tester cement that's in the green tube for metals and others. Here's a photo which I posted earlier and if you look closely you'll see where I reattached the bayonet. Hope you find it works for you also....Joe

Thanks Joe,

I didn't think it was repairable as it was so small. You have shown me otherwise, thanks and I will pick up a tube of the green Testors glue.

Just pore out a small drop onto a small piece of tin voil and then touch each end of the pieces to the drop and then fit them together holding them together until it's attached...Joe

Scott, I also broke the bayonet off this ranker while I was taking it out of the foam packaging. I was also able to glue it back on using a "super" glue and a spray "fixitive" that I buy from my local Hobby Horse store. When I get home from work this afternoon I will send you a picture of these products if you think it would be helpful.

This is what I use Scott for all my repairs.

The Insta-Cure+ is a "CA" type super glue. The .75 oz bottle sells here for $4.49. The Insta-Set is an accelerator used to immediately cure the glue. The 2 oz bottle sells here for $4.99.

For something really small like the bayonet, you will need an extra pair of hands to assist you with the repair. All you have to do is place a VERY SMALL drop of the Insta-Cure glue on the bayonet stub or rifle end. Hold the two pieces together at the break line. While you hold the two pieces together where you want them to be, have another person (my wife helps me) spray the Insta-Set on the area that is being mended - it only takes one spray. Both pieces are immediately bonded together. Be careful not to get the glue on your skin or you might end up with the bayonet stuck to yourself.

Thanks very much for the information Mike most kind. Glad I am not the only one who had an incident with this figure.

Your displayed officer better make every shot count LT, and lets hope help arrives before he runs out of ammo.
Mike

Martyn and Mike he's quickly moved from in front of the wagon as he's joins others at the mealie bag barricade...The Lt.
