Britain's Zulu War (3 Viewers)

Having his horse shot from under him while making an attempt to escape from the slauter taking place on the fields of Isandlwana and after a short run on foot finds himself out runned by a group of Zulu Warriors with no hope of survival....The Lt.

Would you agree that these brave Zulu warriors are the best matte figures ever produced of these fine people? They are magnificent in my humble opinion!

I just got a few of these and the Redcoats and I would agree as well Mike. They are most impressive and I will have to fit in some more.

Raymod he's Kit number 2 sculpted by John B. Updyke in 1974 of MINIMEN I painted back in the mid 80's other than his base which I got to finish within the past 2 years and to date the best of the Colour-Sergeant figures ever none and one of my prized figures........The Lt.

Hi Lt,

Thanks very much for the info.

Not hard to figure why he is one of your prized Colour Sergeants. Great detail and a super paint job too.

Really cuts an impressive figure of a "tough as nails" NCO well suited for an aggressive hand to hand duel with the Zulu.

Best Regards, Raymond.

I've gotta get some more 24th and Zulus ASAP;)

Cheers

Martyn:)

1879,

Must agree to date WBritain has provided us with some outstanding Toy Solldier Zulu War figures to date in the 1/32nd, 1/56mm scale being done in matte to date and let's not forget their British Red Coats and the newly feature Blue coat and like most I'm looking forward to see what's next in store for us from the extremely talented WBritain Team. Jag fully agree on your take on the 24th foot officer he's another gem from WBand my favorite to date slighting beating out our crawling out of windows and roof climbing OR.....The Lt.

Once again it's snowing here in Kittery, ME I decided to visit the Land of the Zulus featuring some of my painted figures facing off against the WBritain Zulus once again starting off with MINIMEN followed by Greenwood and Ball and last but not least Hinchliffe I'm sure you'll agree they fit in quite nicley with the Brit warriors.......The Lt.

You'll note first off how neatly and well organize my photo studio is set up.

Great picture LT and very nice to see other makers and that they blend in nicely with each other. That NMP is a stunner to be sure !!! How does he compare with the WB NMP?

Where are the WB releases for 2009? It is now Feb and so far nothing.

He (NMP) sure is! I would bet he rivals WB's NMP! Scott, I'll bet we see a side-by-side cameo none too soon:rolleyes::cool: Nice boredom, Joe , while it's snowing!

Hello Damian,
The catalogues are being printed as I type. They should be in the mail in the next week or so. There is that story about good things coming to those who wait... I think this catalogue will have something for just about everyone. I have been watching Ken sculpting like a madman for the past 6 months and seeing all of Alan's work too, this will be a pretty substantial catalogue!
I am looking forward to getting the catalogue too, it is usually the first time that I see all the figures painted!
All the Best,
Ericka

You won the bet Mike and Ericka thanks for the info on the Catalog I know it'll be a winner and pleasing to all. Give in Vick I'm know your overly tempted and would be welcomed to the Land of The Zulus.....The Lt.

You must remember that the Brit's are 1/56mm vs the G&B's 1/54mm I place him on the rock because he's rifle is facing down while it's being fired.....The Lt.

Thanks Joe

Yes a bit small against the WB NMP but didn't seem overly small compared to the Zulu in the previous pictures. I am sure though he would be great in gloss to go with the WB glossies :)
