Ok guys, to move past this morinings lively debate and get back to the subject lets talk Tanks. Heres three I'd love to see

Archer SPG
Churchill Crocodile
Sherman Calliope.

I invite all of you including OZ:):) to please nominate your choices, lets see if we can't get a concensus going, then maybe we can form one of those torch carrying mobs stalking the streets while chanting 'Calliope,Calliope,Calliope',ok so it may be me on my own doing that but you get my drift!;)

Must buy that AVRE first anyway, looks really good.

Scott, I honestly do not think Oz was baiting me in his post, he was joking with me and I really took it that way,it got heated this morning but this was not like that.If you could see your way to replacing the posts it would really help the flow.

Good choice Rob my choice is
Comet tank
Churchill bridge layer
Bren gun carrier flame thrower aka wasp

Oz,my apologies for spelling Commonwealth with a small C, it really wasn't an insult more very poor grammar;). I also apologize for calling you anti British earlier today, I'm sure you love all of us including Haig:eek::eek:;)

So come on Oz,lets have your most wanted Commonwealth with a big C Tanks!:)

I wonder if Figarti will do a bridge laying Churchill, would be a big beast for sure!:cool:

S***, you won't believe this and I won't blame you either, but that was a mistake, not an insult but more just poor grammar. My apologies, and also for calling you anti bRiTisH;)

Rob

Well I don't know Rob, I reckon I should wait until Trooper has perused your post as it may be a conspiracy, or at least a Fruedian slip of some kind ;) :D

Just kidding as usual, no worries mate :D

Btw, I thought in view of our prior 'friendly' jibes on other threads, and my inclusion of smilies, that my "along for the ride comment" would have been taken as more vehicle orientated rather than purely sevicemen. Perhaps it would be better to ask for some clarification on what members post before assuming the worse. Just a thought.

Anyhow, back to the thread. As a collector I would like to see more British and Commonwealth armor, and soft-skinned vehicles. However, I also keep in mind that these sets do not have a good track record on a global scale and sometimes I feel we are a bit selfish to make such requests of manufactures. Of course I could be wrong as Andy says the Aussie Beersheba range is doing well, so let's give it a try.

Now that Figarti have recently made a Matador I have been wondering if a Monty style Command vehicle based on that or a Six wheel chassis would have some appeal. In addition Figarti recently issued a Churchill tank which would make a flamethrowing Crocodile version a relatively easy project.

Can we stay on topic on this thread please :(

Yep right on topic here.

So many British,Commonwealth and indeed American vehicles still to be made for all theaters,we need AFV's with powerful weaponry to redress the balance with our German armour. So the Archer and Comet would be most welcome and the Calliope would look Terrific don't you think.

Rob

Must confess I am not a "tanky" but how about a Humber armoured car or a Beaverette for airfield defence? And, just to close the other thread, no hard feelings Oz.

Agreed Oz;)

Monty's command vehicles would be a superb release,I saw them at Bovington a while back and I think he had three in all, mess, sleeping and map room if memory serves but I could be wrong there. It sure would make for a great command scene and I'd buy them.

If I didn't know better I'd say the Crocodile is probably in the pipeline as we speak:cool:

No worries Trooper ;) I would also like to see a Humber armored car, it was my fav Dinky toy and would look great in 8th Army Desert and/or Normandy colors.
