Taking POW's unable to retreat and escape by their own deliberate flooding to deter the allies who here are also ferrying civilians to a safer area.

Cheers Steve ! :salute::

Yes, Battle of the Scheldt with the Allies goal of capturing Antwerp isn't a subject much touched on, but it certainly cost a lot of Canadians their lives. Antwerp was also the target for the Germans just a matter of weeks later in the Battle of the Bulge which of course is far more famous !

It's a good job they are ferrying civilians to a safer place . Antwerp got hit by 616 V1's and 598 V2 boms after the city was liberated. More than 4000 people ( civilians and military) died.
Steve again a very good diorama, keep em coming
Guy:)

Always enjoy how you find the though provoking themes that immediately draw your attention-another great job in a small space

Really like how you've used the excellent 'Pacific' amtrak in this one Steve. Great theme and topic too mate!

Terrific scene Steve, reminds me of the Airfix kit (Buffalo and Jeep) I put together way back when kids built plastic kits.
