Hi guys,
The Aussie sculptor behind CP Miniatures was a Melbourne based fellow who made a limited number of WWII Aussie & Jap sets (Kokoda), plus a few Australiana themed sets, namely Miners and Police from the 1850's Goldrush era and some Aussie Colonial Volunteer Units from about 1870-1900, plus a beautiful set of Life Savers who patrol our beautiful but dangerous Aussie beaches.
The range looked very promising and received one very positive review in a very early edition of Toy Soldier & Model Figure Magazine about 9-10 years ago, possibly in one of the first five issues???
The little business ended as quickly as it started after the sculptor was involved a very serious accident which involved the poor fellow falling from a building or similar and smashing both his wrists. Sadly, he was unable to sculpt or paint as a result and the business and range all but vanished.
The scupltors name escapes me but CP were his initials (as are mine incidently???

)
The set you have is indeed extremely rare, as are all CP Miniatures, and I know a few Aussies who'd pay big bucks for it!
I have a couple of single figures in my personal collection but have had no luck whatsoever finding any of the sets he made.
Hope this helps.
Best regards from OZ.
