Class, class....can I have your attention please:salute::
Once upon a time in a land far far away , a young handsome man with a full head of luxuriant blonde hair and who was wildly attractive to Jennifer Aniston and that bird from The Apprentice , started a thread about Polystone AFV's. It quickly became a playground of naughtiness and unruly behaviour at which stage the school moderators stepped in and dealt out physical correction on a biblical scale........
THE END
Biblical as in Sodom and Gomorrah?
" They will break when they hit a hard surface "....I am curious about your answer....I dont wish to start a blue...from reading some of the post's about the brittleness of some materials I wonder why the vehicle's are made from that type of resin ? ...Plastic ? ... why use that particular material if the vehicle's are going to break so easily ?....my experience with resin is not that flash...I have been fooling around with it for a bit...had no luck making figures as it is too expensive to go through all the rig-ma-roll of doing it... and... I am not that interested anyway...but....I have had reasonable success in making flat objects such as walls...building fronts etc..... I find it very strong and unless you use a hammer...unbreakable.....maybe it is the type of resin I use.?..aint got a clue on the brand name ..if something does not work then I take note of the brand name...have you any idea why some types of resin seem to be brittle?..........appreciate any knowledge on the subject...my Google searching skill is hopeless...regards TomB
'Oh my I'm not doing that'
Have you ever, in all honesty, said that about anything?{sm4}{sm4}
I hope the moderators don't see this, but here is a serious post. {eek3} In reply to your question on technical details - I don't know and probably never will. It is a simple topic to make generalities about, but it becomes very complex if you go deeper into the topic. You would have to read a lot of technical papers on resins and that's not something I want to do. I know if you drop a FL AFV onto a carpeted floor from table height it will likely break. Same for K&C but a bit more chance it won''t. And if you drop a cat from table height, it won't break but it will destroy something of yours. So the best policy is to either buy soft plastic children's army models or don't drop anything. And never get a cat.

Rob,
Do not despair I am looking back through the archives to find some of my previous thoughts on this weighty subject. It is a "deja vu" subject which has been debated before. Could be a while as it was in one of the more obscure areas of the forum (discussing Corgi diecast I think).

A young waitress in St Lucia taught me that a positive reaction is almost always thoroughly enjoyable and physically uplifting!:salute::
