Hi all,

With my 1st show last year in Chicago I'm already planning on a second trip!!! But giving myself more time to see and experience the show at a better pace then the huff and puff I did from late Fri.-Sun in 2017, so maybe flying in early Thursday or late Wednesday night ??? Either way I look forward to getting back and hoping to meet a few more forum members that I missed last year.....anyone made plans on Chicago yet??

Too early for fixed plans yet.
Never know what the “real world/work” comes up with this year.
But I surely plan on attending the show.
If I do, it will be most likely with an arrival on Thursday afternoon and a leaving on Sunday.
Hopefully it works and a bunch of us will meet :wink2:

Tentatively planning on attending at this point in time . . . .

So much for that Sammy; better to get it out of the way now rather than it coming down to the 11th hour.

Enjoy your trip to Gettysburg and Fort Delaware, wherever that is.

Chicago was awesome but 1 place in my life I've been wanting to go for a long time is Gettysburg, glad I'm getting the opportunity this year to finally get there.

Fort Delaware was a prisoner of war camp on Pea island that is a still accessible for visitors.

If it were me, I'd go either in the Spring or in the Fall; I do the Gettysburg show in April, even then it's crowded as a lot of school groups come in with bus loads of kids, like any of them give two ****s about the battle, I also go in the Fall as there is a show in Lancaster in early November and I combine the two.

The Fall is my favorite time to go, the leaves are off the trees, the sight lines are outstanding.

If you go in June, be prepared for mobs of people being on the battlefield, in the museums and in the town itself; the hotel rates are much higher too in the Summer, so be prepared for that as well.

I'm definitely going, booked my room at the Hyatt and also my flights from Oz to San Francisco. I only have to book my flights from San Fran to Chicago now.
