Chicago roll call Sept. 2012 (3 Viewers)

Arriving on Thursday Morn. Leaving Sunday night.

Looking forward to it!!!!!!!!!!

Fourth year in a row I'll be missing the show.:(
I spend too much on my other lead addiction, Sporting clays, trap and skeet. I have nothing to show for it, all the lead is out in the field { they recover the shot every 3-4 years} but it gets me outside 2-3 times a week all year long.
Have a great show.

One month from today right around this time I'll be finishing loading the van and getting ready to hit the road, it's just about go time.

Over the next few weeks I'll be coordinating my show orders and planning out my room displays.

Time sure does fly.................

I am arriving sometime Wednesday. Usually don't stay for the show, I might this year, usually broke by that time!
Looking forward to seeing many of you there.\\
Greg

broke by sunday, imagine that. back in 95, 96 , or so all the good buys were on sunday because the dealers didn't want to haul everything back. or course i was buying mainly frontline then. it is my 18th show in a row and i am wondering if sunday is still a great bargin day because i have missed the past 12 sundays.

Wishing I could be there with all you fine folks but one of my sons is getting married that weekend. Toy soldiers will have to wait. I'll send a shopping list with GK5717 :)

Gary B.

It looks like I will only make it for Friday. I hate how work gets in the way of what's really important!

Hans Hedrich asked me to tell everyone who attended his Pizza night at last year's OTSN that it is again the Thursday night before the show, and all of last year's attendees are again invited.:smile2:

He also asked me to double check with Howard whether he is attending this year's OTSN. Hans had the understanding that you were coming from down under, Cobber, but your response I my recent thread about the state of the hobby I thought definitively said you weren't. Please clear it up for us, as Hans was looking forward to seeing you.

Louis,

Howard is definitely not coming. I thought the Pizza night was Andy's, not Hans'.

Andy has his own special night on Sunday after the show, but Hans always takes out a bunch of us for Lou Magnotti's Pizza on Thursday night. You have come with us on the years when you were able to attend the OTSN, I'm pretty sure.^&confuse

Yes, I was at last year's (around 15 or so people) but I was under the impression that Andy paid for it; the impression may have been wrong.

Louis and Brad mates,
I would give my left .... to be in Chicago with you guys for the normal six days. I will also miss Hans who is one of natures' gentlemen with a big heart. Just been looking back thru some of the photos of those Pizza night. Louis and Andy dozing off. Couldn't handle the pace. Tim, Tom and Clive (yes they do let Brits in) attacking a jug each and Hans enjoying ever minute of it. Chris Munro looking in awe at the capacity of the Mighty Grey Goose. They were great nights with a fantastic bunch of collectors and friends. I will definitely miss the mateship this year:(:( Have a great time boys. Keep then in line Brad.
Cheers Howard

I can try Howard but it will probably take a combination of me, Andy, Louis and Hans to keep the Grey Goose in line. He's not a small feller {eek3}

Cheers,

Brad

But he's getting on in years, he's slowing down and his knees are shot. Take them out early and he'll be no hassle. :wink2:

Simon,
Getting on in years?....It's all relative!!
Slowing down?..... It's like on the Rugby Pitch, the old ones know the short cuts!!
Knees shot?.....And the back ..and the hips... and the neck.

Any references to significant beer consumption is purely medicinal,, to kill the pain!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Chicago, Howard, I guess Tim and I will have to find a quiet corner of our own to sample the Sam Adams.

Regards
Clive

Hope to see you in Chicago next year Howard...Sammy

I will be your neighbor again this year with a refrigerator full of Stella Artois, stop by, spend all your money and have a beer

Marc,
Great to see you will be attending again this year; also great to see Gary is keeping his streak alive, 21 strait, has me beat by 4.

Marc, you can have whatever is left after Steven Chong is done shopping................:wink2:.................myself and my head of security will be arriving on Tuesday and while I will be spending all day and night setting up my rooms, he'll be saving his strength for his security duties by sleeping the whole time.

All kidding aside the trip would not be the same without pops..........same rooms as always, 5340/5342/5344, see all of you soon...............
