Yea, I guess what war is all about, destruction. Not sure why I have paid big money to buy ruined walls other than they compliment the church and make it a little more imposing. If I analyse it too much I might also question why I spend so much time and money on toy soldiers and where would I be than? Cheers, Robin.

Oh my you manged to find an extra side section for your church ...... I WANT ONE !

I am actually collecting my priory tomorrow from customs ( £68 the B*********) now if i can just get the wife to move out for the weekend I could get some pictures taken.

Absolutely one of the best churches ever done, congrats on owning this fine piece, I actually had it about 7-8 years ago and kick myself in the *** for selling it later:mad:...the WWII Conte soldiers look great with the Chuch as well, ahh if I could go back in time:)...Sammy

Thanks Sammy, Expensive but really happy with all my Conte buildings, would also been a lot easier to get these if I had been collecting when these were first released, but as a new collector last 3 years had a big task in chasing up all the releases I missed out on over the last 6 years or so, now on top of all the brands I collect. I make sure I get everything I want now as they are released, knowing to get them much later will cost more. Cheers, Robin.

A small supply column moves past the church. Robin.

I am curious whether this item was a hot seller when it was first released. It seems to be the sleeper TS retired hit in 2013 on ebay in my opinion.. It seems like a lot of people are re-examining its attributes in 2013.... Where many produced when first released? Not sure if a lot of collectors are taking them out of storage to cash in on the recent upswing in pricing for this piece..... I guess the big downfall is that it consumes a lot of space .....

Ken Olsen would no doubt have this answers having made the piece. For me, it's my most treasured structure in my collection. I have in mind another diorama soon, using some of my latest purchases. Robin.

There really needs to be a re-release of this set. This really seems to be in HIGH DEMAND...... I'd love to get my hands on this two piece set.

At the Westcoaster, only a single one
of the Conte Cathedral is for sale.
It always sells quickly even at a high price.

Does OTSN usually have any of them available ?

There might need to be one, but there probably won't be one.

The mold is totally fried, I don't see Conte paying Ken Osen to resculpt it and then run it again as that's basically what it would take.

This set pops up here and there, you also need the back piece to complete it which is a tough one to get plus all the resin accessories including the tombstones, the belltower bell and other pieces.

I came into one as part of a huge collection I bought back in March, I sold it as a set for 600.00 and the customer was thrilled to get it.

Good luck finding one.................
