The wife finally put her foot down on college football tonight. The bad news is I had to watch Ms. Congeniality and Beauty Shop with her, the good news is that I can now watch Monday's game in peace.

Seems like I missed out on some great games.

I think FSU will take care of business tonight. Should be a decent game, but when FSU went into that hostile environment at Clemson earlier this year and destroyed them it showed they are on another level. Close at halftime and then the Noles pull away. FSU 38 Auburn 27.

FSU is a 10 point favorite...that's a lot of points to give Auburn...

Tough call. FSU scored far more points and gave up far fewer points but Auburn played the tougher schedule. Auburn beat 6 ranked teams by an average 41-32 score (all of them SEC teams); FSU beat 4 ranked teams by an average 50-9 score (all of them ACC teams). Based solely on toughness of schedule, Auburn should win this. FSU has a signature win over Clemson, whereas Auburn can claim signature wins over Bama, Tex A&M, and Mizzou. What FSU really has going for it is the offensive power that matches up well with Auburn's defensive weakness. Still, if Auburn's running game can keep FSU offense off the field, Auburn wins. Going to be a fun ride. -- Al

I'm not real surprised that Auburn leads but I am surprised that they have done it through the air. I figured them to run the ball, eat the clock, thereby keeping the ball away from FSU. I still think that is what Auburn should do in the 2nd half. -- Al
 
FSU has a shot here, cannot believe Auburn got that 3rd down conversion, jeez. Still FSU has battled back and if they can stop them, deserve to win. Great game.

This was certainly a worthy championship game. The underdogs played well enough to win but the favorites clawed their way back to win. A close game that had some great plays. The ACC breaks the SEC stranglehold on the BCS Championship, barely. Good game, all.:salute:: -- Al

National Champs, what a game, great win, they beat a very very good team. Undefeated and they beat the SEC!

The two best teams played tonight, the best team won, congrats to FSU, they are deserving champions.....................
 
Big time congrats to FSU. They deserved to win. Hats off to Auburn as well, they proved themselves worthy of belonging in the championship.

What a great game to end a great college football season.
