I would rather he update his site,replenish his plastic stock for the entire range of toy soldiers, get some new playsets,stop blowing smoke, be alittle more on time maybe just a bit???,treat people with kindness and respect, feed the hungry, stop global warming, balance the budget, cure everything,

Michigan Toy Soldiers have delisted the Conte AZW stuff from their pre-orders page. They are usually quite a good bellweather as to when and how much Conte stuff is going to be released. So I am not sure what is going on there. I am beginning to think we may never see the AZW stuff. I waited a year for the BOSS but this is now getting really long.

Yes, that and the OPD patch he wore on Sgt Peppers and if you played one song backwards it supposedly said Paul is dead. Blew his mind out in a car I believe. However maybe they were just talking about his lyrics writing. Did anyone besides Steve Miller write worse lyrics?

The new zulus from CS reminded me of the ones from Conte so they will have to do. And it would be very crowded on the AZW matte scene. They should make more gloss.

Whilst the time it takes Conte to go from anouncement to retail is sketchy; I still maintain thy ill get here and when they do it will be worth it. It's just when they get here how long will they last? Save your pennies...

This website has so many different dates on it you cant tell what is going on. Maybe the activity though means new items are just around the corner. It seems like the warehouse move is moving as fast as the Zulu and Zouave ranges are. Still talking about new surprising releases? Kind of strange when you cant finish the ranges you started. Still waiting for the rest of the Metal Spartan range. Problem is I have started so many new ranges I dont know if I will be able to add any Conte unless I win the lottery anyone else have the same problem?

Hi Guys,
I absolutley love the Conte Spartans/Immortals and planned Zulus/Brits ranges. In fact I have for years been asking Andy of King and Country to do Rorkes Drift.
As a retailer (in Australia) I enquired about the Spartans / Immortals last year. My initial enquiries by email, fax, Ebay seller and his web blogger met with no response. Then I tried another email and got a reply from Richard Conte himself and I was very happy. He mentioned all Spartans / Immortals were in stock so I placed an order within a few days. When the invoice came through only 25% of the Spartans were available and all the Immortals. I had to cancel my order as pointless to get lots of Immortals but hardly any Spartans. That was in November.
A short while later whilst replying to one of my customers he (RC) claimed he had had all the items in stock ! This was annoying to say the least.
I have since sent an order (for Spartans and pre order for Zulus to the same email (which was RC"s personal email) but had no response.
I have had very big collectors try to contact Conte direct and not get any response.
I must emphasise that I am a great fan of Conte's product's but it is most unfortunate that poor communication and lack of supply lets his business down.
It probably did not help Conte's relationship with dealers when he was discounting (ie. Roman Galley from US$750 to $550) and offering buy one get one free on some items last year.
Hopefully the move to North Carolina is good for the business and that Conte can bring out the planned ranges. If I could get his product I would be most excited but I won't be holding my breath.
I think the above may explain why some dealers don't deal in Conte. It is just too hard.
