Guess I have to repeat my earlier questions:
WHERE IS THE DISCOUNTS FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS TO MILITARY, POLICE AND FIREMAN?
WHERE IS THE THREAD TO TALK ABOUT HIS GREAT GESTURE?
WHY ARE YOU NOT TRASH TALKING OTHERS-- FOR NOT OFFERING DISCOUNTS ON THIER PRODUCTS?
WHY IS IT THAN WHEN THIS MANUFACTURER CONTINUES TO DO GOOD THINGS, NO ONE WANTS TO SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THAT?
THERE ARE GOING TO BE A FEW CONTE-HATERS ON THIS SITE, WITH ALOT OF EGG ON THIER FACES, WHEN THE NEW PRODUCT DOES ARRIVE AND IS BEING VERY ENJOYED BY HIS SUPPORTERS...................STRYKER II

Let me speak for myself since I have posted some negative comments about Conte.
First and foremost I am NOT a Conte hater, nor do I believe anyone else on this board is.
It is just his business practices, COMPARED to others in this field that I do not like.
Again, just my opinion, but I find it annoying for a lack of a better word, when people post comments as if RC is some sort of god of toy soldiers.
Now a good thing. Conte has produced the absolute best plastic figures ever made.
Now what better compliment could you give a person.

I will agree that he makes the finest toy soldiers the world has ever seen. We all have our wants and needs in this industry, I hope he gets to mine someday soon. As for now, I will enjoy what he has produced and what is coming down the pike.
He has made a stunning difference in this hobby, compared to pre-conte, and I'm glad that he is doing so.
If no one else is going to comment on what his specials are for military on Memorial Day, I **** sure am. I think its really nice to see a manufacture put service to one's country, city, or town above profits. I wish more people, not just toy manufacturers/dealers would do the same. When I get ready to buy soldiers, I remember those things as I choose to support whomever I please too.................Stryker II

Can we tone down the conversation here guys. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of a manufacturer and as a manufacturer they have to take critism. I don't think that was has been said by members is unreasonable. The discount to fire, military etc....is a wonderful thought by RC but it has only just come to light.

Look, the trade for the uniforms I can understand, but to buy this tank, you have to be crazy..........it's a piece of junk, the fuel system leaks all over the place, it's a piece of junk!!

someone made a kit ad on for a sherman awhile back that you could make Odd Ball's sherman, I think they also made the characters from the final street scene. I might have those in my storage, but would have to check on it. I bought them because I liked that movie so much--great cast!!!........Stryker II

Lewey: Is that small picture you use of a marine action on Iwo Jima? I think I have that same picture in my Iwo Jima file somewhere, does that marine have a carbine in his hands, can't see well enough from the photo??.....Stryker II
