Corgi New 1/32 die cast planes (1 Viewer)

Thanks for the Corgi links. I've got the 1:32 Lewis Hurricane and Hackl Bf-109. I like both models very much however they are HUGE!!! That does pose a serious problem if one wants to collect a great number of these planes. I think the 1:48 and 1:72 series are great alternatives for planes. I really like the WWI planes but never got to collecting them. When K&C announced they were going to make planes my days of picking up Corgi's were over. I'm now eagerly awaiting their upcoming product releases and have purchased the Spitfire. I've definitely caught airplane fever lately.

The size and comparative cost of 1-32/30 does encourage collectors to concentrate on the more famous aircraft.

I think because of display problems for many collectors I can see this range only covering 'aces' or the very well known planes from the period. I would like to seea venture into WW1 planes a Fokker or sopworth camel would be nice changes IMO

You all are so right about the size/space issue. I have always collected 1/72 and especially 1/48 scale aircraft. My shelves will easily display 5 1/48 planes but only 2 1/30, at best. I do like the visibility factor of the larger aircraft but space is a big issue. -- Al

Let's hope so.
