Creating The Battle of Rorke's Drift (1 Viewer)

Hi Joe, now I see what you mean :) My wife actually has a 'downunder' in a bluish colour. I have a Akubra 'Snowy River' which is more like what most Aussie farmers would wear except for the under 40's that are more likely to wear baseball caps whilst driving their John Deer tractors, not much different to most US farmers in many respects but they don't see much snow :)

Btw, back in my banking days I used to work in Kempsey NSW where the Akubra factory is but I never did get around to visit it, but I did learn that felt is made out of rabbit fur.

Didn't realize the photo turn out so large, thought it would be my regular size photos I've submitted. Take care for now and best wishes....The Lt.

LT , Oh what fun it is! I see you have been adding to the collection for quite a while. All I ever did was paint the Conte plastics but seeing your images makes me want to set up my collection and hunt for some castings you mention. I dropped the ball last year when I saw a slew of Minimen castings as well as some Frontline presentation boxed sets on ebay that went for a song.
I didnt even recall Hinchcliffe did any Zulu war figures. Thanks for sharing.
A wargame weekend with some friends and all our sons is on Saturday after next. I do believe Rourkes drift must hit the table .I have a tv with dvd built in out in the warroom. We usually have the appropriate warfilms playing while we game.Time for ZUlU one more time!

Fub

Merry Christmas, Fub. We'll try and get the road trip for next year worked out. Please have the Zulu's all set up for us when arrive, just throw some hay down in barn for us to sleep on, but please put the cats out before we get there, don't want be sneezing the whole visit.:D Hope you have a Dunkin' Donuts nearby.:p

Happy Holidays, Fred

I have tons of Trophy Miniatures and Little Legion figures, vehicles and supplies!
I made a Rorke's Drift diorama and an Islandwana diorama!! But sadly I forgot to take pics!

I love your diorama though!!!!! Amazing!!!!!!

Would love to have seen photos of the diorama. I'm still looking to add to my Throphy Collection. Just acquired three single figures from e-bay of which one is Colonel Dunford along with the Officer from the Command Set it's the same figure that appears in my posting but he's wearing a Blue Tunic instead of Red. The other I believe is Mr Daniels bearing a shotgun. It looks like for the time being the only way for me to add currently to the collection. Is finding figures I want on e-bay with budjet permitting. My Christmas present to myself were the figures which appeared in the last group of Little Legion photos along with six of Little Legions Natal Native Horse 3 standing and three kneeling. As my budjet permits I'll be add to the Little Legion figures. Over the past year or so I've been in touch with Len Taylor and was pleased to receive a reply to my last e-mail this morning. Seems he's doing well and enjoying the holidays and at present enjoying retirement. Haven't meant to be so gabby but it's nice to know and meet someone who also enjoyed collecting both Thropy and Little Legion figures of the Zulu War. Hope you've enjoy a pleasant Christmas Day and thanks for touching base.....The Lt.

The assault on the Hospital Continues: The figures are from Conte's Keith Rocco's Rorke's Drift. It's a shame that Richard has not continued adding metal figures to his Zulu line to date. The Lt.

Thought I'd included a few more with this round of photos......The Lt.
