Creating The Battle of Rorke's Drift (1 Viewer)

And it's been a most enjoyable year watching :) As the old photo's have gone into cyber space, I for one would like to see these again if possible.

Regards

Jeff

Thanks Jeff and Mike it's been fun and looking forward to the coming year. Jeff I re-posted the photos in my Zulu War Thread which started with the Battle of Isandlwana and lead to the Battle of Rorke's Drift. If you want to take a trip down memory lane click on to the last page which is 58 to begin the trip I do from time to time when I need new ideas for photos and stories to tell.....Joe (aka) The Lt.

Lt, You have been a busy captain! I have also enjoyed your work and am looking forward to more in the next year:cool: Big humbs up for you!

Kevin not stealing any thunder from the Bulger I thought I'd feature Redoubt Eenterpises 22mm Rorke's Drift which appears in the Coppermine Photo Gallery found when searching for background photos of Rorke's Drift. I'm featuring just 2 of the 79 photos which are shown for a total of 4 photos of which 2 I cropped for effect and felt they should be posted in this thread. Wish I had the room to duplicate the landscape..The Lt.

Rorke's Drift prior to the arrival of Chelmsford and the number 3 Column commandeded by Brevet Colonel R. Glynn of the 24th Foot.

Stealing Thunder? Don't be daft, the whole point of this is to share and encourage more people, not to hog it.

These pics look really good - look forward to more?

Lt., could you imagine what you could do in 22mm? I know you would be certified blind in a week. Those are some cool pics, I always liked before and after photos.:)

Lt, nice landscapes, I think that will give a new atmosphere for your setups. Very very good.

The following reflects The Buildings and Defenses based on a Map prepared by Lt. Chard showing the Hospital, Storehouse, Mealie Bag Wall, The 2 Wagons along with the Biscuit Box Walls and Well Built Kaaral on January 22 1879. Not quite to Scale but as close as I could create it. Battle Scenes to follow refecting figures from Throphy Miniatures,Frontline Figures,Britians, Little Legion, ANI, King Cast and Conte both in Matte and Gloss Finishes along with Kit Figures from HINCHLIFFE Models, Monarch, Greenwood and Ball, MINIMEN, New Hope Design and Tradition. Photos will appear high lighting various events that happen during the defense of the Drift....."The Lt."

This is the first of my post on the Zulu War and it's hard to believe it's been three years since I introduced the first of my photos featuring my Zulu War figures. Although the original photos which appear on the above post were lost when the format of the forum was upgraded I thought I'd kick off my fourth year refering to the first of my post with one of my latest photos. Thanks Shannon and Pete for providing me with the forum to share my playtime on.
